I think so, I need to get this shit off me

I used my powers to clear a path and I decided to go to New York to see if I can find strange and apologize

-New York-
I look around, and I run into a kid

"I'm sorry ma'am, I wasn't paying attention." He says looking me in the eyes and I think of what to say

"It's fine, in your defense, I wasn't either." I tell him

"It's fine to you as well." He says a little nervously, damn did he notice me, I'd he scared?

"What's your name kid?" I ask and he gives a small sad smile but loses the nervousness

"Peter Parker." He says

"Well Peter, what're you doing?" I ask getting some sort of feeling that I remember him but not from what

"Just walking to Delmars Sandwich Deli, Ms Maximoff." He says, well he noticed me, at least he isn't panicking or is doing very good at hiding his panic

"Sure." I say giving him a smile and he returns it

We walk with him leading the way before we reach the Delmars place and he opens the door for me and I smile nodding my head at him

"Hey- hello Mr Delmar." He says and I catch the quick cutoff from the more friendly hey, making me frown momentarily

"Ah, Peter, this is what the 4th time this week?" Mr Delmar asks and Peter nods

He looks at me so I go ahead and order

"Just a 12 inch steak and on white bread toasted please." I say

"I'll just get the same." Peter says

"12.57." Mr Delmar says and Peter gets his wallet out and I notice he doesn't have much in there so I frown but let him do it.

Should've be stopped him.

Mr Delmar hands them to us and we sit down.

"So you're not scared of me or anything?" I ask and he skates his head

"Won't your family be worried your eating with someone you just met today even if the person is technically a hero?" I ask as we finish our sandwiches and he looks sad

"I don't have any family Ms Maximoff." He says and I look at him sadly

"You have a place to live?" I ask and he nods "how old are you?"

"16." He says and that concerns me, and I get an idea maybe overstep but he seems like a good kid

"What if you were to live with me?" I ask and he looks at me confused

"Why?" He asks and I look at him in the eyes

"Because I know what it's like being alone." I tell him and he looks down

"I wouldn't intrude or anything?" He asks nervously

"You don't have to if you have too." I tell him and he looks me in the eyes

"Sure."
