Way Back Home

"Meredith!" she heard from behind.

She saw Andrew running towards her, she ran to him wrapping her aram around his waist.

"I'm sorry" he whispered to her hair caressing her back as she sniff.

She pulled away looking straight to his eyes.

"I want to go home" she whispered shyly, he just nodded pulling her again into her embrace.

Meredith and Andrew went home and pack all their things without saying anything. Just focus on packing their things.

"Alex?" Meredith said as Alex picked up the phone.

"Hey, how's Italy?" Alex asked exited.

"I'm at the airport in Italy, I'm going home" she answered shortly "Can you pick me up at the airport please?" she then asked making Andrew looked at her confused.

"What about Andrew, isn't he coming home with you?" Alex asked. "Something wrong?" he then asked noticing her voice getting shaky.

"Alex just-- pleas pick me up, I'll call you when I land" Meredith said wiping her tears before hanging up.

"Meredith, you know I have my car in the Airport in Seattle" Andrew said.

"Mer talk to me, please" Andrew said softly caressing her shoulder, they're both sitting on their plane seat ready to take off.

"Mer please talk to me" he repeated more gently not wanting to push her too hard but worried at the same time.

"Just wanted to sleep.... pleas" she looked at him, her eyes watery.

As an understanding partner he just nodded, be observed her slowly falling asleep. He asked the flight attendant for a blanket and put it over Meredith's body in case she gets cold.

They were waiting for Alex in parking lot, Meredith still not speaking to Andrew.

"Mer talk to me please,tell me if I did something, is it about Adrian? the money?" he asked getting impatient.

"Andrew pleas..... I need time pleas" she breath out.

"Time for what?" he asked.

Before Meredith could answered, Alex pulled up in front of them, without say a word Meredith hop in leaving Andrew confused.

"You two okay?" Alex asked as he drove the car.
"So you're not talking to me now too?" he added after not getting a response from Meredith.

"Alex please" Meredith breath out.

"What's wrong? did he break up with you?" he asked concerned.

"No,no just-- I'll tell you later. I wanted to sleep off this week" Meredith sigh looking at the window.

They pulled up into Meredith's drive way and immediately went inside.

"Hey, welcome home" Lexie cheered "What's wrong?" she asked noticing her sister is not in the mood.

Meredith sat on the couch and started crying.

"Hey, what's wrong? d-did you two broke up?" Lexie asked stroking her sisters back giving her some comfort. As Alex walk towards the kitchen to drink water.

"They caught Adrian" Meredith blurred out.

"What!" Lexie said un shock ad Alex dropped the glass he was holding and shattered into pieces.

"What do you mean they caught him, h-how,?" Alex asked enraging walking towards the living room joining the girls.

"He's Andre's brother" Meredith answered shortly.

"He's what?" Lexie stated.

"Did he know about his brother's crime?" Alex asked pissed.

"No, not until the day he got arrested" Meredith sigh leaning against the couch.

Meredith told them everything they wanted to know, about how she find out, about the drugs and about the money.

"So what's with you and Andrew? why didn't you go home with him?" Alex asked softly

"I-i don't know if I can trust him again after all that, I-i know that it's not his fault it's not his crime, but it's his brother's and his family" Meredith answered " After finding out about the money, I just wanted to disappear because I felt used again, but Andrew told me its not real, that he'll never do that to me" she sniff

"So what's the problem?" Lexie asked quietly.

"I don't know if I can trust him again the way I did before" Meredith answered wiping her tears.

It's been 2 weeks since Meredith talked to Andrew. No call, no text well he texted hed several times but she's not replying.

Meredith woke up from a loud knock coming from downstairs.

"Coming" she yelled walking down the stairs wrapping her robe around her.

"Hey" Andrew immediately said after she answered the door "Can we talk?" he asked.
She didn't answer just open the door widely, signaling him to come in.

" Look, I can't do this.... you can't just ignor me for 2 weeks without saying anything. you're not answering my calls or replying my text, just tell me if I did something and I'll fix it" he started sternly.

"Wow, how dare you barge into my house and force me to talk" she scoff looking at him in disbelief. "You lied to me and now you're forcing me to talk"

"I am not forcing you Meredith, I just wanted to know because I'm going crazy not knowing what's going on in your mind and you're not talking to me for no good reason" he defended himself rambling.

"I feel used, I feel so,so dirty after finding out about that money" she said her voice shaky.

" God money, money that again? I told you I am n-" before he could defend himself Meredith cut him

"Because I don't know if I can trust you again!" she yelled back. "I don't know if I can still look at you the same way after finding out about your family's dirty works"

"What do you mean dirty works? I didn't-"

"Save it, we're over" she sigh "Get out of my house and find a new woman you can use to get your money" she added before walking back upstairs.

"Meredith please!" she  heard Andrew from downstairs.

As much as she wanted their relationship to work, its just doesn't feel right with him anymore. And even if it worked out with him, she can't look at him the same anymore, he'll always be the brother of the Man who used her for his own pleasure, the man who drug and physically abused her and threatened her.

He won't be same Andrew anymore and  everytime she looks at him, she'll always think about what could possibly happened next, what lie she could possibly find out about him next time. What hurts her the most is they're relative, brothers. Same household, they have the same blood circulating around their body.
It hurts her by the thought of being fooled by the same household.
