Ajey's P.O.V:

Life is such a funny game. One moment I want to confess the heck out of myself in front of her, the other moment I feel it's too late.

But keeping that aside, the confidence which the universe had filled into me a few moments back, was for sure the best thing that could happen today. I am proud of myself.

The sun shined brightly, providing warmth to everyone present in the Bhardwajs' garden, on this chilly December morning. The helpers were moving around, completing their assigned tasks while the guests chatted with each other, having their sips of chai which was served to them. I too stood in a corner with Yash, having our sips, while we talked to each other.

-"Mhm, yes. Something felt strange to me as well, but I shrugged the thought of them being those Bhardwajs."
Yash spoke to me, sipping the tea from his cup whilst I nodded at his statement.

-"Anyway, it's good that we reunited. You see, Maa and Papa are so happy..."
He continued.

-"I know right...their happiness is all that matters in the end."
I replied back in affirmative.

-"Yeah...and I guess everyone's happy. Most probably.....the one standing next to me too."
Yash spoke teasingly with a side-eye, pausing a little after "probably ".

I stomped my feet in annoyance.

-"Haa, you tease me again and I'll throw this hot chai on your face!! You just wait and watch."
I replied to him as if giving him a threat.

Yash just laughed casually at it and his phone rang amidst our conversation.

-"I'll get back to you soon..."
He said to me, a little panicked.

-"What happened? Who's call is it?"
I asked when I saw him leaving suddenly.

-"Nothing, just a call from a friend..."
Replied Yash.

Oho, friend?!!...

-"Male or female?"
I asked him, a little curious.

Now it was my turn to tease him, I guess.

-"Uhm, female.."
Yash replied with an innocent face and a clueless tone in his voice.

-"Oh I see...mummy, aapki badi bahu mil gayii!!"
I teased him with my voice a little loud at the end.

He hurriedly kicked my feet and spoke in panic,

-"Ajey, pleaseeee I beg you. Don't tell about it to anyone right now. I'll tell Maa and Papa about it when time permits."
He pleaded, as if begging me.

Ah, I ain't letting you go that easily.

-"Acha, but only at one condition.."
I said to Yash in a fake deep voice.

-"What?"
He asked; annoyed.

-"You have to tell me every detail about it when you get free. Let me also get to know my future Bhabhi."
I said to him casually, passing my deal infront of him.

-"Done. But don't call her "bhabhi". It feels stupid and awkward."
He said in a low tone, with an evident shade of pink on his cheeks.

-"As if you don't enjoy that, do you?"
I spoke, a little annoyed this time.

-"Uh, nevermind...I do..."
He spoke, nevertheless.

The ringing of his phone stopped abruptly while we talked and he gave me a glare and left from there with the same, dialling the same number again, and I laughed at how whipped he was for whichever woman was on the call.

It was already half past 9 now and the preparations for Aakash Bhaiya's haldi were almost completed.

All the family members and other guests gathered in the garden and one by one, everyone started putting the turmeric paste on mostly his face and shoulders.

It was my turn to do the same and I moved forward and took some paste on my fingers.

Aakash Bhaiya had a smile playing on his lips as he sat under the shade on the small stool with nothing but a vest and a loincloth on.

Everyone, including me and him had the sunshades on and I managed to apply the turmeric paste on his left cheek when he held my hand softly and swiftly yet a little abruptly and spoke as a whisper so that noone but only I could hear him.

-"You're most welcome to my family, Ajey. But do not forget what were the circumstances when our families lost contact. And I assume that you have the hint from that, that you are forbidden to even be near my sister, forget having her as your life partner."
Aakash Bhaiya warned with a low chuckle at the end, a smile still widespread across his lips.

-"Yeah sure, dear brother. I assume you have forgotten the lost and helpless child that I once was. I am no more the same. But trust me when I say this, I am forever loyal to the woman I once comitted my everything to. Forget leaving her life again now, I am not even letting anyone tell me to give upon the idea of us."
I too, replied with a dark chuckle with a smirk followed by a sunshine like smile playing on my face; confidence easily evident in my voice.

-"Why can't you understand, it'll ruin both yours and her life too?"
Aakash spoke in annoyance.

-"It won't."

-"Are you sure?"

-"More than I could ever be."

-"How could you be that sure?"

-"I am sure about it because I can ruin my own life in the process, but I won't ever let the same happen to your sister. I promise."
I replied to him in a dark voice.

-"What if I tell you she's already with someone else?"
Aakash Bhaiya spoke out of nowhere.

My heart stopped beating for a second, shattering into a million pieces by just the thought of her having someone in her life that isn't me.

Nevertheless, I shrugged the thought off, telling myself that it couldn't be true and that Aakash Bhaiya was only putting forward a hypothesis.

Keeping the negative thoughts away, I thought of the same scenario with pure emotions and a heart which wasn't rebellious or had a tendency of ruining things which it can't have; a revenge like tendency.

And I concluded that I'd rather be her secret admirer than ruining her forever.

-"I'll admire her from afar. Just like someone does to the moon. I'll leave her life and will never come back then, trust me. But I'll always be her secret admirer. Nobody could stop me from doing that as well, trust me at this."
I replied in a low voice; my eyes void of any emotion.
