Chapter 13

Third person's POV

After Singto talked to Krist's parents, he called his dad and invited them, as well as their friends. Everyone was very confused about the surprise that the couple was hiding and not telling them over the phone, so they were all impatiently waiting for 6 pm to come. Krist and Singto were also very impatient. The thing is, after they would pass this check-up, they would fully take custody of Fiat and become his legal guardians and parents. And it's normal to be excited to tell your loved ones about it, right?! So they couldn't wait for the announcement.

Before 6 pm, Krist and Singto were setting everything up: tidying up the house, making food, of course never forgetting to give Fiat as much attention as he wanted. They also set up the outdoor area because the weather was nice and they decided that it would be the perfect time for barbeque. Krist's dad knew the best recipes for barbeque, so Krist put out as many ingredients as possible for his dad.

[Time Skip: 6 pm]

Everyone arrived. They greeted each other, and they were all over Fiat. The little baby got used to all the attention and big crowds at this point, and he loved it a lot. Krist and Singto's dads were setting up the barbeque, while Krist's mom and Singto brought out the ingredients. Gun, Off, and Tay were playing with Fiat, while New and Krist were making something sweet in the kitchen. "Wait I want to know what they are making in the kitchen, Papi take Fiat for a second" - Gun said as he got up, gave Fiat to Off, and got lost in the house.

"Wait, wha-" - off was puzzled when Gun gave Fiat to him, but Tay cut his word. "Come on, buddy. You took care of Nirin, right? Also, you need to learn a thing or two with kids. My pet might start asking for babies soon, " Tay said as he laughed at Off. Singto and the others also started laughing. Singto's mother asked Off if he wanted to give Fiat to her, and Off immediately agreed and gave Fiat to her. "Come on, it's not that hard," said Tay, patting his back. "I'd like to see you try for yourself," Off asked Tay as he slapped his head a little.

"What are all of you talking about?" - New asked, as all three of them came to the backyard. "Nothing," Krist's mom said with a wink toward Tay and Off. "Okay then," Gun said. Both New and Gun sat down. "Should we do it now?" - Singto asked, and Krist nodded. "You better tell us about that mysterious surprise or " Singto's dad said. Singto laughed. "Yes, dad, we are about to do that,"

"So?" - Krist's mom asked. "We passed the check-up test, and we can legally adopt Fiat! It's complete!" - Singto said. "Really?" "Congrats, son. " "I told you two would do amazing. " They all congratulated the couple. The next few hours consisted of happy wishes, laughter, and a bit of drinking. Fiat fell asleep before 9 p.m., and the others were gone by 11. Singto and Krist cleaned up a little and decided that they would clean up the rest tomorrow and go to bed. They fell asleep as soon as their heads were on their pillows.

[Time Skip: 2 weeks later]

"Here are the final adoption papers. They just need your signature, and it's complete! Fiat is legally your son. " - said Pit. Pit was a 57-year-old lawyer. He was Krist's family's lawyer for over 20 years, so it was clear that he was the best at his job and their best choice. "Thank you so much, Uncle Pit. You made this process a lot easier. " -said Krist. "Krist, this is an honor for me. Your father and I have been friends for decades. I have known you since the day you were born, and seeing you create your own family warms my heart. Your parents have raised you well. And as I can see you two loving each other so dearly, you chose an amazing partner, ha?" - he said. Krist blushed and agreed to the man's words. Singto just laughed and thanked the old man.

"So, I'm waiting for your signatures." They both nodded and took the pen. They filled in all the papers and handed it to the lawyer. Pit put his signature on the papers as well and handed it back to the couple. "Here it is. Take care of these papers, they will be needed in a lot of things. "This is it," he said as all three of them got up and shook hands. they said thank you and goodbyes. As the couple was about to open the door and go out, "Krist don't forget to invite me to your wedding" - Pit shouted a little and chuckled as he heard the sweet couple laugh to themselves.
