{five- flying}

Hunters pov:

omgomgomgomgomg why did I just do that? I thought while heading back to the owl house. once I landed I opened the door and Luz was standing at the bottom of the stairs.

"Where have you been," she questioned

"nowhere of your concern."

"uh-huh, over at your boyfriends house? amity told me" she smirked

"WHAT...HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND" I said while running up to my room. i quickly got dressed and walked out.

"and where are you going?"

"to pick up ed for school."

"oooooh.. your boyfriend" she yelled

"SHUTUP" I snapped and hopped on rascal. when I got there I knocked on his window and Edric opened it.

"ill be down in a bit" he smiled.

my face flushed red and soon he came out the front door. " you ready to go?" I asked

"Yup!" he hopped on rascal and the whole way there he talked about him and his sister and how they would pull pranks.

as soon as we got there we were late, only because I lost track of time and we sat down to talk. so we just decided to skip school for the day. we went to the market and luckily I had stolen a lot of snails from my uncle before I left. I got a few journals and some pens, pencils, feather quills, and also ink. Edric got a few drawing pads, some pencils, and charcoal.

"you journal?" edric asked me

"yeah, green boy. you draw?" I chuckled.

"yeah! I could show you some of my drawings later!" he said excitingly

"ok. sure!" I said.

after that, I texted luz on penstagram that I wasn't going to be at the owl house, and that I was going to be at the Blight Manor. turns out she was also going there to hang out with amity. me and Edric were walking to his home when we saw a figure in the woods. we both looked at each other curiously before walking toward the small figure as we walked closer we saw a green fox with gold eyes and a white underfur with black dots. edric walked up to it and it

"Hey, little guy are you lost?" he said. it turned into a staff and he looked at me with amazement.

"wow," I said

"omg. I just got a palacmen!" he said and hugged me.

we walked the house and went up to his room. we found emira and Viney sitting there.

"Hey guys, where were you, you weren't at school. WAIT" Viney said before getting cut off by emira.

"IS THAT A PALACMEN IN YOUR HAND" emira shouted

we set down our stuff that be bought, and I sat down his bed.

"yes! we found him in the woods while we were walking back from the market and he just turned into a staff!" edric yelled back at them.

"do you even know how to fly it?" emira said

I looked at edric and chuckled. he looked at me and smiled.

"no...but I will learn!" he said

"oh yeah, who will teach you" viney said.

his face looked annoyed but it was funny.

"him, blondie" he said with a smile while pointing at me

they both looked at me. i gigled and nodded yes. i could see edrics smile grow.

"I should start teaching you right now" I grabbed the stuff that we bought and put them in my satchel. rascal turned into a staff and I opened the window.

"you know, you could go out through the door?" emira said

"I like this way better," I said

"c'mon green boy," I said as he grabbed his staff and hopped on rascal. he stuck his tongue out at emira and Viney then we flew away. both of them looked at each other and smirked. we flew for a bit until I found a place in the forest where no one went, ever. I should know. I made a hideout near there when I was younger.

edrics pov:

"ok, so the basics. first, you want to gain trust with your palacmen and state your intuitions, for example, I want to fly," he said while hopping on his staff

"so I just..." I concentrated for a minute and slowly let go of my staff. I opened my eyes and saw that it was floating. I looked at Hunter, who was taking pictures of me. "hey!" I said " just get on" he chuckled. I sat on the staff and immediately fell upside down. hunter got a pretty good photo of that one. he posted them onto his penstagram. once I was balanced I looked over at him. "ok, now. you want to lean forward for going, well, forward and it's technically just lean the way you want to go." he hopped on his staff. "here look. he went In two circles around the trees.

"where did you learn you fly?"

"my...self? I taught myself hehe, I started flying when I was about 6 I think."

"wow."
