My head is pounding from the last two days of drinking with Veronika. I stayed at her house Monday and Tuesday night. The bar wasn't very busy on Monday so we called it a night early, stocking up on snacks at Chander's convenience store. We drank and watched movies until we fell asleep. It's Wednesday now and I'm still feeling exhausted from last night's  drinking. I sit up off the couch and chug a glass of water, hoping it takes away the hangover I've received. Eight in the morning is the worst when you have only had four hours of sleep and have been bingeing Criminal Minds for the last two nights. I get up and start getting ready for work when I hear a familiar voice talking their way toward me. Veronika walks into the kitchen on her phone talking bubbly to whomever on the other line like she didn't just have four hours of sleep as well. I glare her direction until she makes eye contact with me and stick out my tongue. She returns the look and shakes her head smiling while continuing the conversation on her phone. Since I didn't have my nude makeup today I decided to throw on some  red lipstick, black eyeliner, mascara and hot pink eyeshadow. The clothes I came in hadn't been washed so I looked through Veronika's closet for the closest office work outfit I could possibly find. I picked out a blackromper, black high strap sandal heels and a pair of black diamond earrings. This would be the first time I would actually wear my dress style to work. I usually don't spend the night at veronika's apartment.

"I'm off to work girly! Help yourself to breakfast and sorry I'm out of coffee!" Veronika yells from the living room right before she slams the door.

I walk into the kitchen and pop a bagel into the toaster. I wonder who they'll have covering for Baron. I ask myself as I butter the bagel and stuff it into my face. I'm hoping it's not some bitch who is power-hungry and has all these rules. I hate rules, I beared through it with Baron, he let me do mostly anything I wanted. I'm going to miss that son of a bitch. Nine o'clock,I walk out of the apartment to my Honda on my way to work.

I stop to get a coffee and I'm parked in front of Dolscorp by Nine-thirty. I walk into the building and glide to the elevator and wait for the doors to slide open. My stomach is twisting in knots from curiosity as I wait to get off at my floor. I get off of the elevator and look around, everything was the same as I had left it. The stair door was replaced and there were muffins on my desk. I raise an eyebrow curiously and put my bag down. Walking to Barons old office, the door is shut so I lightly rap on the door. A voice calls for me to come inside.

"Mr.Harrison?" I croak out

"Yes, Tally is it?" He says nonchalantly and sits back in the computer chair, hands behind his head. The view of his biceps gaping from his shirt, tantalizing at its best. I stand gawking at him and his clearing of his throat brings me back to attention.

"Um, yeah, so you're the replacement for Baron?" I say looking away from him and around the room. Baron's office changed over the two days I was gone. The fish tank that was behind the desk and photos the man had were no longer there.

"Yeah, for now, is that a problem Miss Renshaw?" He asked slightly amused. I could tell he could see my expressions all over my face.

"No, not at all. Just let me know if you need anything." I say turning to leave on my heel

"Are you still running Baron's appointments?" I asked quickly before I got to the door.

"You two were close?" He asks out of nowhere

"He was my boss for two years, I liked him'' I smiled sullenly.   Mr.Harrison nods understanding.

"Yes, I'll be fulfilling his appointments until our replacement comes. There is no need to call them knowing it won't be Mr.Maxwell joining them; they'll find out when the meeting occurs. That will be all Miss Renshaw.

I nod and walk out the door to my desk. The creepy man that was here before Baron's murder is standing at my desk again, chomping on a muffin. I stand at the door trying to remember the name he had given me in our last meeting.

"Marigio" I whispered to myself, I still can't remember his last name so I decided to go with that.

"Hello, can I help you Mr.Marigio?" I say sitting at my desk, moving the muffins to the top so other clients can help themselves.

"Yes, is Mr.Maxwell in?" He asks sort of slyly and smug

"No, I'm sorry he isn't but our owner and CFO are in today, your appointment isn't with us until the week after next" I reply while looking at my appointment calendar.

"I can't see him today anyway?" Marigio looks at me weirdly

"No, sir I'm sorry." I reply dryly

He huffs walking out with sunken shoulders as another man walks in and nods toward him.

His hair was shaved at the sides with a short cut on top. He was wearing a black suit, nicely tailored.

"Hello, welcome to Dolscorp. How may I help you today?" I ask with a fake smile

"I have an appointment with Mr.Maxwell" He says looking everywhere but me while he buttons his shirt sleeve.

"Alright, Mr.Dragio, please wait one moment while I call in to the office" I pick up the telephone receiver and call Mr.Harrison letting him know that he has an appointment.

He walks out and shakes Mr.Dragio's hand with a genuine smile.

Another man walks in flustered after the two men leave for the office. He drops his pencils and a few notepads on the floor. I jumped up to help him clean up.

"Uh..thank you, I'm late and supposed to be attending Mr.Dragio's meeting." He says worriedly.

"Just go ahead and go back, the office is right there" I say pointing as I stand from the floor.

"Th..thank you" He says stuttering and walks to the door I appointed him.

The day goes by fast and I'm cleaning up ready to go home when Mr.Harrison calls me to the office.

"You needed to see me?" I say as I walk into the room unannounced.  I normally wouldn't do that from my experience with Baron but I really wanted to head home.

He was standing looking out the window as I had entered.

"Yes, please take a seat Miss Renshaw" He says as he slightly looks back at me.

I take a seat at the chair in front of the desk and wait for him to speak.

"So, it comes to my attention you saw what happened to Mr.Maxwell?" He says without turning around.

I gulped as I pushed aside what I had seen.

"I didn't see anything except almost getting fucking blown away" my eyes widen at my word choice and I stumble trying to apologize.

He raises his hand saying it's okay and for me to quit rambling.

"So, is that all you needed Mr.Harrison? How'd you know about that?" I say pouring a glass of water from the desk in front of me, I gulp the water down fast and almost choke when he speaks.

"I have my ways. Just be careful, some would say that you shouldn't get tangled up in matters that you're not to be involved in." He says as he turns around and raises a brow at me.

" I understand" I say while putting the glass down that I was drinking from and wipe at my chest from the spilled water. I stand about ready to leave and walk out the door.

"Just be careful, Tally. There are a lot of things you don't know about in the dark side of the bronx"

"I think I can handle myself."
