Y/N's pov
"How do I manage to get myself into these types of situations," I said still trying not to make much noise.
"Don't mind me" said an unknown voice.
I jumped back a bit. After looking up I realized it was the Enderman that had technically saved my life he was standing leaning against the wall opposite from me.
I felt the need to thank him but no words came out of my mouth instead we just sat there staring at each other before I looked away in realization.
He whispered something to himself before turning back to me.
"Anyways, I'm Evan"
"I-i'm Y/N?" I said lifting myself off the wall while trying to avoid eye contact.
"You can look me in the eyes," he said nervously, "I'm too weak to hurt anyone".I didn't fully trust him so I remained staring at the floor.
"It's ok, I wouldn't trust me either if I was in your position," he said, turning to walk away.
I then suddenly remembered I was still lost and questioned whether I should ask for directions. I wanted to trust him, but I just couldn't believe him. I was raised to stay away from all mobs, even the passive ones.
"W-wh-" I tried to ask where he was going but once again not much came out.
"I'm heading back to the surface if you want to come with", he must have seen my failed attempt at asking for directions. Without saying anything I quickly stood up straight and walk behind him while still trying to keep my distance.
We started walking, his legs were longer than mine so he could walk a lot faster yet he still tried to slow down so I could catch up. I kept my hands held up to my chest and tried to keep my eyes to the ground and follow the light his eyes were emitting.
Neither of us had to look outside to see it was raining. the rain was loud enough to hear from inside the cave.
While Evan was guiding me through the cave, I was trying to fully process what was happening.
"Why would he save me"
"Do enderman even talk to people"
"Have I really gotten to this low of a point in my life"
Apparently, I had gotten to that low of a point in my life
