June 6th 1944.
Stranded on the island me and my platoon knew we would be dead within a month. We lit a campfire to keep us warm.
Hearing a crack of a twig, we hurriedly put out the fire and cocked our guns ready to fire. I told the sniper to get up the hill and be ready to fire. I heard the blade slash through the vines next to us. Stomps getting louder. I told all twenty of my men to get up the hill ready.
I hear a gunshot I look back and no one is harmed I look towards the vines and I see a soldier in Japanese uniform with a bullet straight through his skull. We opened fire killing fifteen soldiers. There were only three left they killed four of my men and then.
Out of nowhere an explosion happens someone must of thrown a grenade.
After the battle there were just pools of blood everywhere.
