June 7th 1944.
I buried the soldiers we lost, on the beach near our camp. I would normally send letters to their family's but I can't because if I did the Japanese would surely find us. I had a plan to reconnect us with the other US soldiers.
We had to take the communication tower from the Japanese. There was only one problem the tower was heavily guarded with shotguns, smgs, snipers and more. So at the dead of night, we set off to the fortress like tower.
I told my sniper and four other soldiers to stay back just in case of an ambush. Me and the rest snuck towards the tower and we saw 4 guards outside the front gate so I signalled to the sniper to attach his suppressor to his gun and fire on my signal.
I hear 4 bodies drop but it wasn't the Japanese it was four of my men.
I heard the screech of the alarms going off. I screamed for everyone to fall back but no one heard me because of the ear piercing alarm.
All the men who were with me were gunned down and I ran to the sniper and told him to run. We escaped but it wouldn't be for long until we were found dead or alive.
