You are my sunshine {Completed}

Chapter 1

-Andrea pov-
"Spare change?" I shake my cup and sigh as another group of people walk by "Please...I am so hungry"

"I am sure you will buy food!" I get dust kicked at me "Go get a job!"

I sigh as tears form in my eyes. I was on top of the world. I had powers and a job. Now I am back here with nothing to my name.

Well I have a quarter at least. George keeps me company when I am bored. My box is just big enough for the both of us. It is a nice little box for me.

I got a blanket ands a teddy bear. His name is Jerome and he is a panda! Oh I wonder if he missing me as much as I miss him! Maybe I should head on back...yeah I am getting nothing.

My tummy grumbles and I pout some. I sigh and head back to my box. I make it to the box and grab Jerome. My tummy grumbles again and I sigh.

"I no food rome" I look at the quarter in my box "We fine...we no eed food...we eed me an ou romee!"

I hug the bear when a throat clears. I look up and feel sick. I want to shrink back into my box so bad. But I stay planted mostly by fear.

"Andrea Rojas?" I nod and Cat tilts her head "What are you doing in a box?"

"No oney" I look at Jerome with tears in my eyes again "I lone"

"Come on" I look up and see her hand extended toward me "You look hungry and like you need a bath"

I am hesitant as I reach up. I grab my blanket, Jerome, and my quarter before leaving. I need my stuff so I am not alone. I hate being alone like I have been.

It is a quiet walk into the building. I forgot that I was still near it. I had meant to leave but my box has been stuck. Now I am back in the building I had left for good.

I walk past my old employees still holding Cats hand.  She leads me to her office and to a chair. She walks away and comes back with a few towels. I also see she has a small bag of cleaning supplies.

She nods toward the office bathroom and I take the stuff. I lay Jerome and my blanket down in the chair as I stand. I walk to the bathroom and go straight to the bathtub. I am so glad I had it installed.

I hear a crinkle and look at a paper hidden in the towels. It is an employment paper. I look over everything and then see a little note. It is in Cats neat handwriting.

'This is not pity. I need a new employee since I have a new co-boss. I think you could be just that. Hope you sign and stick around.'

I smile and place the paper away from the tub. I strip down and get the water going. This is my first bath in a long while. I really needed this.

I wonder who the other boss is.

-Kara pov-
I groan as I head to Cats office. Lena is supposed to be on her way. I just got back from an off world mission with J'onn. I have not talked with Lena since I was gone last year.

When I walk in I see a teddy bear along with a blanket in the chair. I am confused and turn to see Cat on the phone. She says something quick and hangs up. I wish I had my hearing back.

"Still healing from the supernova?" I nod and she walks to her chair "Look I would not ask this unless I truly needed to and I do...I found Andrea but something is not ok with her"

"What do you mean?" I see her look at the stuff in the chair "Cat?"

"She was talking like a two year old Kara and I am not sure if that is even how young she truly is" Ok I am confused fully now "Kara there is more to the world than your innocent mind can comprehend"

"So Andrea thinks she is a baby?" Cat shakes her head "Andrea acts like a baby?"

"Kara! Oh sorry" I turn to see Lena walking into the office "Your intern said it was just Kara"

"I forgot to inform her" Cat sighs "Look Andrea has a thing called age regression and I need you to look out for her Kara"

"Why me?" Cat seems confused by that "Why me take care of her?"

"You have practice with Esme and you are a kind soul" Cat sighs and sits down "I also need to get her off the street"

I feel a hand placed on my shoulder "Obsidian went down a while back" I look at Lena who is frowning "I wish she would have come to me though"

"She is stubborn" I sigh and look at Cat "I will help her if she wants me to"

"Oh" We all turn to see Andrea looking nervous "I Uh...I filled out the paper and took a quick bath"

"Andrea you are going to be coming home with me ok?" She looks even more nervous "Uh what if Lena comes too?"

"I-I guess" She frowns and looks so small "I guess that works"

"Take the day off and go explore the house" Cat turns toward her computer "I have the ship wheel"

I nod and Andrea comes over. She grabs her things and I hear her stomach growl. We walk out in silence and Lena leaves us to get some things. I go to my car and Andrea sits in the passenger seat silently.

I drive to a belly burger and grab some food. I get the kids meal and hand it to her. She looks at me surprised and I give a kind smile. She looks so adorable digging into the food.

This may not be such a bad thing after all.
