Chapter 12

-Alex pov-
Lena and Andrea has been under my watch for a little bit now. I was able to leave the White House under secret as long as I keep work updated. So I have been signing what I need to while Kelly keeps everyone entertained. The electric dog tail she got keeps everyone, including her, entertained for a long time.

I am getting frustrated though with Kara. She keeps working on trying to bring back Linda instead of being a caretaker. I do not want to have to remove the two during little times but...I have to follow rules like she does. I sigh and get up as the doorbell rings.

"I got it!" I open the door and blink a few times "I have to be high right now"

"I wish" Linda limps in holding a sleeping Kara "She has been a deadweight for the last few miles"

"You walked form the DEO?!" She nods and soon collapses too "Both of them are idiots!"

I feel a nudge in my thigh and pat Kelly on the head. This is a complete switch from how we thought it would be. I do miss little time but I enjoy this much more. Plus who says I can not have a little break every now and then?

Right now, I just need to get these two food ready to eat.

-Time skip-Kara pov-
I groan as I move slightly. This bed feels lumpy and uncomfortable. I sit up some and see I am not in my own bed. I also see two sets of eyes on me.

"She is alive" I cringe as Lena narrows her eyes at me "YOU almost died and then YOU decided to consistently ignore US! We need a caretaker as well as our girlfriend Kara!"

"I know but I am still a hero and she is like a sister to me" I look around for Linda "Is she ok?"

"THIS TASTES AMAZING!" I get up confused and follow the two Alex's kitchen "Kara! Have you ever tasted this food? It is called chicken fried steak! This creamy gravy is fantastic! These green plants are amazing too! What are they Lena?"

"Kale" I make a gag sound and Lena smacks my arm "You are allowed to enjoy it Linda"

"Kara does not control what I like" Linda shoves a bunch of kale in her mouth and makes a show of eating it "Must shuck to shee this!"

"I am going to kill you!" She goes wide eyed and Andrea hits the back of my head hard "She is desecrating the same body as mine!"

"But she is her own person" Alex walks over with a plate for me "Now eat and be happy I did not get them taken away like I should have"

"You would not have done that would you?" She walks away and I sit down "I...I am sorry ok? I am trying to get used to everything..it all changed so fast! I used to be fast, strong, and so much more....but now I take forever to change and I have to workout to gain muscle! I can barely lift a window now!"

"I know the power shift has been a change but you have to get used to it" I nod and take a bite of my food "Your girlfriends need you big or small just like you need them to keep you sane"

"I know" I set my stuff down and look at my girlfriend "I am sorry I abandoned you and I could make an excuse but I will not"

"Thank you" Andrea nods and smiles along with Lena "We are just happy you both are ok"

"So what will you do?" I look at Linda "You got your test results done and exist again"

"I was thinking of going out on my own for a little bit" I nod and she takes a bit of her food before going on again "I just want to become me and be less like you"

"Fair enough" We finish eating and stand up "I can get you some clothes for the road"

"Actually" I tilt my head confused "I have never had a true girls day out"

"Let me get what we need and I can take you" She smiles and gets all giddy "How you are a caregiver I have no idea! You are the biggest child I know!"

"Will you come back?" We all look at a frowning Esme "If you are like aunt Kara you should come back"

"I will be your aunt Linda ok?" Linda gets down to Esmes height and smiles gently at her "But I have to..go on an adventure alone ok? But I promise I will be back for your birthday and any holiday that comes before ok? By then I should already have everything discovered"

Esme gives a nod with a big smile. I smile as she hugs Linda tightly. I look at Alex who gives me a nod. She is officially a sister of ours and that means she gets a ridiculous sweater this Christmas.

But for now she needs clothes and stories to tell on her trip.
