I creeped out of the bathroom and silently slipped into Luke’s room and closed door. His room was really clean. He had his books in a corner in a stack, his clothes were either in is wardrobe, or in a pile next to his bed, and his bed was made carefully. So being the person I am, I went and lay on it, making sure it wasn’t neat anymore. I heard the door open, but I didn’t move. I pretended to be asleep. Im a very good actress, as you can understand. I heard him laugh quietly and sit on the bed next to me. He stroked my hair, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I waited a minute or two. He muttered something I couldn’t understand, so I jumped up and screamed my heart out. The look on his face, almost made me crack up, but I stayed focused. I walked around the room, trashing the place. Knocking down his books, yanking out his clothes, and just making sure I kept screaming. I kept that up for another minute, before I collapsed onto the ground. Luke, who was in total shock mode, hadn’t moved. I remained silent until Alex, Max and Josh had ran into the room. Alex ran straight to me, Josh to Luke, and Max stayed at the door. Josh finally managed to make Luke come back, and he also ran to me. Josh stepped back to the door, and whispered something into Max. I decided now was the time to give up. I sat up quickly, and started laughing. But the look on Josh’s, Alex’s and Luke’s faces really shut me up. But with Max. Im used to it.

“What, in the NAME of Jesus Christ, Do you think you’re doing!?” Josh shouted.

“Just actin’. Sorry Josh, Alex. Luke.” I said, nodding at them. I heard Max clear his throat, but I just laughed.

“Me. Apologize. To you?” I said, still laughing.

“Don’t be rude to me, little girl.” He said, trying to sound mean. I laughed at is feeble attempt, but he nearly exploded. I stepped back, and he nearly ripped me apart, if Josh hadn’t stopped him just in time. I fell back and breathed heavily.

“Lacey. Come. Now” Josh said, making Alex keep a good hold on Max.

“K” I said, following him.

He led me into a room, which I guessed was his. He motioned for me to sit on his bed, but I remained standing. He shrugged and sat on a chair, getting confortable.

“Lacey, we have a rule. That we must follow. No attracting attention to this house. If you do, the cops find us. Because of what you just did, the neighbours heard you, and are a bit suspicious. They think we are torturing you. Because they know we are here. They think of us as kind, polite gentlemen, and we don’t want to upset them. So what we need you to do is go next door, and explain you had a nightmare that made you a bit, well, phsyco. We need you to do that now. Then come back in here when you’re done, and positive they believe you.” He said, making me shiver slightly. But I get to leave the house. Even for a few minutes. And not out the back yard. But out the front, with other people, cars, dogs, everything. I’m not usually excited for something this simple, but I have an exception. I nod my head, and head my way to the front door. I pause for a moment, and open the door. It’s warm outside, something im grateful for. Sunshine. I haven’t been out in it for a while. Usually it’s a freezing cold, blast of wind that greets me every day. I step onto the grass and walk to the fence that separates the boys house, from the neighbours. There is an elderly woman waiting anxiously to see me. I nod to her and smile.

“Hi, Im Lacey, what’s your name?” I ask politely.

“Im Mrs. Gane, but you can call me Livia.” She said smiling.

“O.K Livia. I believe you might have heard me screaming a few minutes ago” I said, my voice still in the polite tone.

“Yes, is everything O.K?” She said, a bit worried.

“Yes, I think that you might have thought I was being tortured? Because I had this, bad nightmare, which kind of took over and made me act a bit, crazy. Im sorry for any misunderstandings”

“It’s O.K dear. I hope you don’t get the nightmares again” She said, before walking inside.

Phew. I started to walk to the other neighbour’s fence, before hearing a whistle from inside. I looked over and saw Josh waving over. I sighed, and soaked in the freedom before making my inside the gloomy, depressing place that’s my prison.
