Lost in the waves

Dillan was a mermaid and one day he was swimming rapidly for fun when he was young, so fast that he hit another mermaid on his way, her name was Coral. Dillan was kind and friendly, he quickly apologized to her. She accepted his apologies and smiled, she told him that she also swims fast to have fun. Dillan and Coral began to talk more after the incident and Dillan proposed to her to come tomorrow morning to swim together. 

Dillan and Coral would meet together to swim and talk about their lives, their relationship began to grow and progressed slowly, they both started to feel more attracted to each other. Love became undeniable for both of them, they would race each other to see who was the fastest swimmer and they would go alone far away from the rest of the mermaids to rest on an island to observe the sunset.

Years were passing and both of them were enjoying their lives, one day Coral and Dillan wanted to go somewhere different than usual, on their way, an elder mermaid warned them to not go too far or they would catch other human’s attention and just in case Dillan brought a knife with himself and told them they would be fine.

Meanwhile, an experienced group of fisherman went to fish as ordinary in the same place they always used to. They continued to work for 3 hours, one of the fishermen named David told the other 2 that he saw and heard something strange deep inside the water, they didn't pay much attention to David because he had been drunk last night and told him he was just fantasizing. David got upset and told them what he heard and saw was real. They continued to fish and after 5 minutes, all 3 of them saw a mermaid coming from the water. They were in shock and quickly acted to tie her and bring her with them. They knew they would get a very big fortune if they had found a mermaid.

Dillan saw Coral in danger, he was furious and reacted fast to attempt to save her. He used his knife to cut the fishing net, but the 3 men were very fast and took her in the boat. One of the fishermen had aggressively stabbed the lance on Dillan’s shoulder and Dillan was hurt and couldn't follow the boat.

David was hysterical and was constantly laughing when the 3 fishermen together got the mermaid inside the boat, the 2 men asked him if he was okay and he responded with a strange smile from ear to ear that he was well… David asked if he could get the lance the other fisherman had and he gave it to David, he approached the siding of the boat and shouted “Come here my boys! There is another one, help me out now!” The 2 fisherman came running and David got behind him, with the lance he stabbed both of them to death, he took their body full of blood and drowned it in the middle of the ocean. David wanted all the money and didn't regret killing the 2 fisherman who had worked with him from years.

Dillan was wretched and wanted to find a solution to save Coral, he continued to swim around but he didn’t find the boat or Coral.Dillan didn't want to give up and spent years and years looking to find her back, but he was left alone and Coral never came back.
