My best friend // Rindou x Reader (Tokyo Revengers)

"Baby why are you crying?" I looked down at him stroking his hair.

"Daddy never came with you" he let out tears.

Daddy? That would be the first time he's called Rindo by that. I'm sure Rindo would of been happy to hear that.

Just then I feel someone's hands on my shoulder. I turn my head to face Rindo.

"Sorry I'm late, got caught up" Rindo chuckled.

"Daddy!" Kai jumped up whipping his tears.

"Oh he- he never calls me that, it's always been dad" Rindo said smiling.

"Guess he's growing to like you" I smiled.

Even though I smiled I'm still reminded in the back of my head how he thinks I've betrayed him.

The teacher looks at us and smiles. She doesn't say anything but tells us to follow on with her. Kai was holding onto both mine and Rindo's hands as he walked in the middle of us.

We walked into the office and Kai sat on my lap as the teacher started asking us questions.

"I know your not a couple, married or even biologically his farther but you two seem to be close to be able to raise a kid together" the teacher smiled.

"Yes, we are lucky to have him in our lives, if it wasn't for him I dont know where I would be right now" I smiled.

I reminded my self of the day we met.

-flashback-

I was sat at the bridge with my phone in hand. I was waiting for my boss. He said to meet him, it was urgent. I had been waiting for 20 minutes and he hasn't arrived. I call him to see where he was. He said he wasn't far away. As I ended the call a man came running my way with a huge bag in his arms.

He ran straight for me. And with a gun?! I was a detective still then and the man had seen me pull my gun out and froze. But I don't think it was because of my gun.

"Get out the way before I kill you!" I heard a man's voice behind me.

"She has a large bounty on her head, I want that money" the man growled still walking towards us.

The man wrapped his arm around me protectively but the man who ran at me shot his gun. It hits me straight in the stomach. I fall down to the ground and the man had shot him. After loosing so much blood the man picked me up leaving the other one on the ground.

He carried me to a less civilised place, to be exact he brought me to the woods. He lifted up my shirt and started cleaning out my wound.

"What's your name?" I asked him.

"It's Rindo, but please save your breathe" he chuckled.

"Thank you Rindo" I chuckled softly.

He placed his warm finger over my mouth and hushed me. He stares straight into my eyes and still managed to perfectly clear up the wound with one hand and not looking at it.

Once he was done I sat up against the tree and we started talking. He ended up taking me home, if it wasn't for him I could if died that day, I could of left my son behind. My son Kai was only 6 years old then, what would a 6 year old do without their mother?

-end flashback-

The questions on love continue. We couldn't answer most because we were not in love but we tried our best.

"I must say, you two look perfect for one another, I'm sure you have kissed or felt some kind of romantic feelings between one another with the way you answer my questions on love" the teacher said with a big grin.

I was going to say something but Kai spoke instead.

"I have never seen them kiss, but there always hugging, holding each other and sometimes when I wake them up in the morning I see them cuddling to one another with big smiles on their faces!" Kai said enthusiastically.

"Oh, isn't that lovely" the teacher chuckled.

"We are just really close, that's all. Rindo takes care of us all" I smiled.

"We are great friends, we never have thought differently about each other" Rindo spoke too.

The teacher nodded her head and we were done. So we leave, Kai with us.

Kai wanted to go get ice cream so we both agreed on it too. Once we left the ice cream parlour I got a phone call from my boss. I told them to walk ahead together as I answered the phone.

"Come in, now" my boss ordered me.

"But why? I'm not working now" I said confused.

"I need you in this moment, you have 10 minutes to get here" he scoffed and hung up.

I quickly ran up to Kai and Rindo. They turned to me with a puzzled look.

"Uhm take him home, here are the ke-" I said before getting cut off.

"I'll take him to my house, come by when your done" Rindo said with a smile.

"I get to go to daddy's house? Awesome!" Kai seemed thrilled.

"Keep an eye on him, he gets a sugar rush from ice cream. I'll be back soon it's just something with work" I said.

Rindo smiled and Kai waved me goodbye as I ran off. They were walking to Rindo's house as I ran to work. I wonder if I'll make it in time? And why was it so urgent?

I ran into the building and I'm instantly met by my boss at the door. He looked me up and down and threw a dress at me.

"Get dressed, we are needed somewhere" he rolled his eyes.

He was wearing a fancy suit, and this dress was long and black. It was a bare back with just a crisscrossed string to tie at the back with a bow. As the front was filled with rhinestones. The dress it self was long, all the way to the ground with one slit going up my leg. It was on thin straps too.

I wonder where we are going? To dress this fancy and be urgent. I got dressed and he took my hand leading me into a car. He hasn't even said a word about where we are going, he seems tense. Is this something bad? I bring myself to ask him a question.
