The hero of the day

Gianna Webber woke up a normal Tuesday morning with her dad down in the kitchen. She walked downstairs and ate the breakfast her dad had made for her. She brushed her teeth and put her long hair up into a high ponytail then she left for work. When she got to the hospital she changed into her light blue scrubs. Bailey lined them up to tell them what attending they had for the day. "Hm Stevens and Karev your with Burke, Yang and O'Malley with Shepherd and Webber and Grey your on trauma" Bailey said as she walked away. Gianna sighed, she didn't really like Meredith that much but they walked to the er together. When they got there the attending told Gianna to stitch up a wound as Meredith got the trauma. "It's so unfair, just cause her mom is Ellis Grey" Gianna mumbled to herself as she sat down to do the sutures. After two hours there was nothing for Gianna to do so she decided to take a break and go rest in the on-call room. She walked into Alex screwing a nurse. "Shit sorry and please lock the door next time" she said and walked out again slamming the door after herself. She felt unwanted in the er because of Meredith and now she couldn't even sleep in an on-call room. She walked to the cafeteria to have an early lunch and sat down alone at a table. Christina sat down next to her. "So what are you doing sitting here all alone?" she asked as she stole on of Gianna's fries. "Not much, just waiting to be paged" in that exact moment Gianna got paged to the er. She got up and ran down to the er since it was a 911 page. A kid that swallowed a lighting bulb had trouble breathing. She looked around to see if anyone was near that could help her, she didn't have time to get someone. She had to this right now and all alone except for a nurse. She placed her hands on his stomach with his back against her chest. She pushed as hard as she could and light bulb flew out and Gianna catched it. The attending that she had paged almost 39 times came running in. When he saw what she had done he began yelling at her, but she didn't care she had saved that boys life. She walked out of the er to go tell Alex, unless he wad screwing a different nurse now. When she finally found him he was sitting on a bed looking exhausted "you alright Alex?" She asked as she sat down next to him "yeah I'm fine, just tired". She began telling him what happened in the er and she could see how he became more and more interested. After 40 minutes she had to go meet up with her dad for dinner. She changed into her normal clothes which was jeans and a crop top then she walked to the resultant where she was meeting her dad. She was so proud of herself today for the first time in a long time. She was the hero of the day.
