Johnny's POV
After I asked out kenzie I settled for the date to be tonight at 8:00. I asked luaren if she knew what kenzie's dream date was, and she said that when they first met and had a sleepover that they told each other they're dream date's. Luaren"s was a arcade (hey I might let luaren get that dream date) and kenzie's was a picnic dancing in the headlights of the car. so that's what im going to make happen.
I'm finished getting ready, and it's currently 7:35. so I head out to get kenzie. I'm taking her to the park, it's the perfect place. There's a grass area, and a doc with a lake. I just arrived to her house, I get out and make my way to her door. Once I get there I knock on the door and her sister maddie opens it.
Mackenzie's POV
"oh hey johnny come in, kenzie just finished getting ready" I heard maddie say from downstairs. I feel butterflies in my stomach every time I just hear his name. I make my way slowly down stairs, and his mouth dropped. " y-yo-you look beautiful, beyond beautiful"I smile at his kind words. "thank you" I reply. "bye maddie, bye mom. I'll be back later!" I shout to the others in the kitchen. "you ready to go?" he asked me wile placing a hand on my lower back. "ready if you are" I say giving him a smile. we walk out of the house and he helps me in the car and starts to drive off.
Johnny's POV
when we got there I already had fairy lights, a blanket on the grass, and a basket on the blanket. i closed her eyes so she couldn't see anything.
"johnny don't you dare make me fall" hearing her say that made me chuckle a little. "don't worry, don't you trust me?" I laugh a little bit. "yes I do" she replied sighing in defeat." okay then good" then I let my hand out from in front of her eyes and she gasped in amazement. "johnny it's beautiful" she said with wide eyes and mouth dropped still stunned. "I know" I replied and we both laughed.
once we finish eating and talking about the most random things it starts to sprinkle. I rush everything but us in the car. "johnny what are you doing it's raining" she asked confused. "precisely" i replied with a grin, I turned on me head lights and walk up to her. "Mackenzie Frances Ziegler, will you please" I pause and take both her hands in mine. "do me the honor of dancing with me in the rain" i asked and she nodded. I bring my hands to her waist and she wraps her arms around my neck and we rock side to side slowly turning with her head in my chest. she pulls away and and I do to. we stare into each others eyes then slowly lean in and end the night with our first kiss.
