The Socs and Greasers were having a rumble so there was a lot of fighting the main difference for the Greasers was that M/n wasn't there with them. He was in the mental hospital for mental reasons obviously. Johnny and Ponyboy stared to get Serounded by Socs that was until a familiar face showed up and kicked them in the head knocking them out (like mikeys kick from Tokyo rev) all while you couldn't see his face you could tell it was M/n by the kick.
After the fight the Greasers won but instead of celebrating they all turned to the h/c male who was smiling "I'm here guys" M/n looks down and starts laughing slightly scaring the others including Dally and Darry "N/n what are you doing here aren't you supposed-" Soda was cut off " I escaped..... I finally left" M/n falls to the ground head in hands "M-M/N W-WAIT" Johnny rushes over to M/n but stops when he sees.....
"M/n put the switch blade down and away from your neck" everyone looks at Johnny concerned "M-M/n please" everyone stared begging him to put the switch blade down "I never wanted this.... Dally..... Soda..... Two-bit.... Pony.... Johnny.....Darry..... Steve..... All of you..... I'm sorry" he was about to slit his throat when he was tackled to the ground by non other than "CHERRY?" Cherry grabs the switch blade and throws it as far as she can "M/N WHY" she starts punching his chest "WHY WHY WHY" she starts crying "IT MAY NOT SEEM LIKE IT AT HOME BUT I NEED YOU GOD DAMNIT" everyone is frozen not able to move "I NEED AN OLDER BOTHER TO TAKE CARE OF ME GOD DAMMIT DON'T LEAVE ME" after that was said there was a gun shot.
He shot himself "M-m-m/n?" Darry falls to his knees in shock "M/N NO PLEASE DON'T NO OPEN YOUR EYES PLEASE" cherry starts crying and Soda pulls her off M/n "H-hes gone" everyone turns to see Darry by M/n's body head held down "Pony he's dead... " everyone was quite until Darry punches the ground a screams "PONYBOY WHY DIDN'T I TRY AND STOP HIM" everyone looks at Darry in shock. Mainly because the male never showed much care of the other Male but right now showed otherwise "I d-dint even g-get to t-tell him" Darry gets up and just starts walking away.... Nobody stops him.
[2 weeks later]
Ponyboy pov
Darry hasn't done much at all this week he's only gone to work then would get home and go to hide in his room "Guys we need to help him it's been almost a month and he's only getting more depressed as the days go by" the funeral for M/n was in a week and everyone knew that it wasn't going to go good "Let's all go talk to him" I suggest and everyone agrees.
"Hey Darry how are you doing" we walk into the room to see Darry laying face first into a pillow a binder full of something best to him. Two-bit grabs the binder and opens it only to become wide eyed "Give that back Two-bit" Darry's voice scratchy like he hasn't talked in months "A-are these memories o-of you and M-M/n" Johnny says slightly confused.
Darry sits up and grabs the binder harshly "It's non of your concerns" he was about to set the binder down but it was grabbed by non other than Dally "Get out of bed man, also Johnny was right holy shit these are a lot of pictures" you can see Darry grow an irk mark but clam down and lay back down on his bed face in the pillow. "go ahead look at the pictures" Darry mumbles they a take this as a invention to go threw them while me and Johnny sat back not wanting Darry mad at us later.
"you two look like a couple not gonna lie" this made Darry turn his head faceing them "Wait..... What picture are you looking at" Soda flips the book and picture to a picture of Darry and M/n at a carnival
