I No Longer Hate You

Chapter 3.

I've been avoiding Rome since the day we did the assignment, he's been doing the same to me too. We still glare at each other when we pass each other in the halls , we got full marks for the assignment so I don't really care anymore.

I have gym now so I changed into red basketball shorts and a white top , i changed out of my shoes since the ones I had on before isn't appropriate for gym.

"Today were playing dodge ball!" The coach's voice sounded out through the gym , after he said that I saw Rome walk in with a white tshirt and red shorts . Why did I have to match with him?

Since we were all surrounded the coach and sitting on the floors there want much space left to sit so Rome came and sat right next to me "not you again" i sighed.

"I don't wanna be here either so just shut up so we can finish this class early" he snapped.

"I should've stayed home today" i looked away.

The coach started pairing us off and luckily Rome and I weren't on the same team.

The game started and I aimed my shots only to him and him only , i did get to hit him a couple times and each time I hit him his glare turned darker.

I'm not a small person , I'm 5'6 but Im agile , while easily dodging his shots that Rome sent flying to me i ducked but when I got up a ball went flying straight to my face.

I couldn't move intime so the last thing I heard was "pause the game" then I went unconscious.

10 minutes later.

"Riah? Riah you there?" I opened my eyes to see Rome leaning over me. I'm assuming I'm in the nurse's office now because I feel a well cushioned bed under me instead of the wood floors in the gym

"My head" I groaned.

"Can you hear me?" Rome waved his hands.

"Yeah , what happened?" I asked squinting.

"Someone threw a dodgeball at you , it hit your face quite hard" he explained.

"Is my face bruised?" I asked feeling my face.

"No , it's just fine" he kissed my forehead...he kissed my forehead.

"I still hate you" I chuckled.

He just laughed , the nurse came back in the room a short whole after "how are you feeling honey?" She asked.

"I'm fine but my head is pounding" I rubbed my head.

"I've seen many incidents like these , the headache should ware off soon but if you notice a changed in vision or constant headaches after this go see your doctor" she handed me a glass of water.

"Ok thank you" I said coming off the bed. "No" I said before losing my balance.

"Take your time klutz" Rome said helping me stand up straight.

"Leave me alone" I laughed at his teasing.

"Are you going home?" He asked picking up my bag.

"No , I'm going to my boyfriend's place" I joked but Rome physically tensed up.

"Where does he live ?" He gritted through his teeth.

"Why do you wanna know?" I turned to him.

"Just asking" he forced a smile.

"Calm down- I was joking and even if I wasn't why do you care?" I turned to him , we were already outside so he just opened the passenger door before walking around to his side.

He just walked away after opening the door for me but I swear I head him say something about someone touching what's his , meh it's nothing.

"Where are we going?" He turned to me while starting the car.
