Chapter 3

Even though Nao was determined to fulfill this mission as quickly as she could Legoshi was equally as determined to reconnect with his old friend who had returned after all these years. 

For several days, Legoshi would find Nao wherever she was and try to talk to her. Nao at first tried to politely let Legoshi know she was busy but nothing ever worked to get him away completely. 

Nao, while on her way to get the food, was scoping out people to sit with. In order to get more info about the students of this academy. After being given the food she scrunched up her face in disgust 

'This isn't even food' her stomach growled for some real fresh meat. Looking around she spotted a female tiger that was sitting alone in the upper part of the cafeteria 'Perfect' she thought as she made her way up there 

"Is this seat taken?" she asked nicely to the tiger who looked up from her phone 

"Oh no you can sit there" the tiger responded 

"Thanks my name's Nao" she introduced 

"Kila, you're new here?" Kila asked 

"Yeah, I started a few days ago. Just moved to the city" 

"Ah, really the city is so nice. Do you like frozen custard?" 

"What is that?" Nao replied not knowing what that is 

"It's this great frozen treat that taste amazing! They sell them on the sidewalk down in the city center during this time of year. I can take you there sometime if you want" Kila offered 

"Thanks I might have to take you up on that offer" 

'Alright now's the time to ask' Nao thought as now was a good time to ask Kila if she's heard anything 

"So Kilia have you--" 

"Hey Nao," Legoshi said coming over and standing by the table 

'What is he doing here!!' 

"Oh, Legoshi" Nao gave a straight smile "What are you doing here?" 

"My roommates and I were headed to get food. Would you like to join us?" he offered as he pointed over to where some of his roommates had sat themselves a few tables away. Nao's blood started boiling but she persisted to keep her facade on 

"That's alright suddenly I don't feel so good. Excuse me, nice talking to you Kila" Nao thanked getting up and walking away. As she passed by the trash she chucked her whole tray into it and stormed off fast. When she got out of there she swiftly rounded the corner of the cafeteria and punched the wall "I had her! I was about to ask when that airhead of a dog came and ruined it!" a heavy sigh left her lips "It's alright Nao. You know what she looks like and her name all you have to do is find her again" taking a deep breath she walked out from the corner just in time to see Kila walkout from the cafeteria with a panther friend she was talking to 

'Gotcha' 

"Kila!" Nao exclaimed running over to Kila 

"Oh Nao" Kila said 

"I wanted to ask if you've heard about that incident that happened a few days ago on campus?" Nao started 

"Yes, it's terrible what happened isn't it?" 

"It is. I was wondering if you knew anything about it or anyone that could be involved?" Nao laid out "I'm on the newspaper and we're doing a column on it. Anything you can think of that may be of some use to us" 

"Oh yes well..." Kila thought for a moment "Some students have been talking about this one person thought. I don't think they would do it. Their name is Nick he's a black lab. That's all I've heard nothing about anyone else that could be involved or the incident" Kila opinionated
