Chapter 13: Invited

Friday. The day my brother's stage debut. I grabbed my phone and texted my brother.

"Good luck bro! Do your best! Sister is always here."

I gave him courage to perform well.

On the other hand. Jangmin. "Help me zip this." She demand as it was only 12 in the afternoon. "Relax, the event starts at 6pm." She look at me straight to my eye and said;
"Whatever your surprise is, I need to look presentable." And then, she did her make up and so as her hair."

"You already look gorgeous Jangmin." I told her as I saw her looking at her reflection for 15 minutes. "Don't joke at me Maechi! I have a big feeling today is not what I'm expecting to be." She inhaled deeply.

"What about me? Do I look great on this dress and jewelry?" She made a satisfied face. "A definition of perfection." I giggled as she made me  flattered.

Soon, we went out to the door and decided to go to the mall to shop before the event.

I should probably buy a congratulation gift for Jake. I went to pick a cute dog stuff toy because that's all I could think about.

"AHM..." I startled a bit. "Omg Jangmin! Can you stop scaring me?" I complain to her but she didn't care. "What is that?" I hid the stuffed toy behind my back. "Uh... nothing?" She look at me straight to my eyes and sneakingly grabbed the toy behind.

"Really? A toy Maechi?" I give up and explain.

"Well... it's a gift for someone important today." I gulped as I doubt that she won't trust me.

"I see..." I saw her smirking face.

"We only have 30 minutes left till the show starts. Let's go!" I grabbed Jangmin's hand. "Show? I thought it will be a blind date on an expensive restaurant-" I cut her off and we called a taxi.

"Maechi. Where are we going?" She stopped me as she looked at me straight to my face. "Uh... Surprise?" Jangmin didn't look happy so I smiled. "Maechi... don't tell me.." before she could finish a body guard called my name.

"Sim Maechi?" I look at the body guard who was taller than my dad. "How did you know my name?" He then showed a picture on his phone given by my brother.

"Your brother." He then said to follow him backstage. "Maechi- stop." Jangmin was hesitant to go but I was holding her hand.

I took a deep breath and calmed her down. "It's okay Jangmin. Just take a deep breath and act that he's just a friend. You can do it." She didn't really say anything but this time, she followed me.

"This way ma'am." I took a deep breath as well as Jangmin. "Ready?" I asked her as she nodded.

I entered a door that behind of it, was a room full of idols. I started to feel nervous as all good looking girls and boys is in one place wearing some kind of unique and artistic outfit.

"Maechi? Are we really going in the right place?" Before I could even reply to Jangmin someone called my name.

"Noona!" I look around and saw my brother wearing a fantastic outfit that made Jangmin stunned.

I waved at my brother as he want us to come near him. "Come here!" We followed him, and talked outside his group's room.  "This is our changing room and we will be the next to performing later after 2 more idols."
