Chapter 15: Strings

So many things happened yesterday. I got up from my bed and did my daily routines.

"Gosh! I don't wanna see his face again!" I complain while yawning on my couch.

"Meow~ Meow~"  Then my friend kitten knocked on my balcony.

"Hi kitty!" I opened the door to welcome her. "Spending time with animals is much better than with human" then I cuddled with her in the couch.

"What should we watch kitty?" I was holding my remote but nothing comes off my mind. "What about their performance?" Then suddenly thought about the performance last night.

"Should I?" I was hesitant. "Meow~" Then kitty agreed so I let it slide and searched their group name.

"Man... he danced so well." I sighed.

My phone suddenly rang and I got a text from Jake.

"Noona! Can I visit you? I'm bringing a friend."

A friend. I know exactly who he meant was. But I said okay.

It took an hour for them to arrive. I called Jangmin to hang so I can have a friend too. So she rang the bell and I open it. After awhile, they also arrived.

"Hi!" He greeted behind my brother's back while carrying a soju. "Come in!" it was so awkward that Jangmin hold her breath.

"Isn't the weather today so intense!" She then walks away and sat in the living room. "Don't worry, you can come in too." I said. "Thanks." He response.

We're particularly eating and watching a movie.

We never made a conversation.

"Uh... so... I'm sleepy, do you mind me sleeping in your room Mae?" Jake asked. "Uh- sure!" He walks away and closed the door.

After awhile Jangmin asked if she can use the bathroom. "I'm just gonna go to the bathroom." Now, it's just me and him.

Sitting alone in a quiet dark place that only the television made a light.

"Maechi... it was really bad of me to leave you without saying a proper goodbye—-"

"You don't have to explain, Hee." I said. "It's just that- it was so unfair of you."  Then I made myself confident to finally face him.

"I never got the chance to tell you what I wanted to tell you Heeseung." I bit my lower lip as I was nervous on how he would react.

"Then tell me now!" I shook my head. "No. It's not the same anymore..." then I opened the chips.

"Maechi... After all of the things that happened, we can do all the things we should have did—-"I cut his words.

"It's not the same Hee... I don't have the same feelings as before." I gripped the chips.

"I see..." he took a deep breath. "Then let's start again?" He had good intentions but-

"I don't think it will work." I looked down.

He just smiled. "Then, can I play something from that guitar?" Oh shi- he saw my guitar. I freaked out so I jumped to block my guitar.
