I love being a lesbian. You can use it as an excuse for anything, as an example, I'll take a scenario that happened this Sunday, at grandmas;
"Darcy, you're not checking out any boys on your phone again, are you?" Grandma said, loudly, since she barely could hear herself 'cause of her bad hearing.
"No, I'm not", I simply replied.
"Why are you smiling so much, then?" She asked, confused.
"I'm texting Tara! You do remember I'm a lesbian, right? Why would I check out any boys on my Instagram?" I sighed.
"You're just all smiley."
I knew it wasn't any great idea to argue further with my Grandma, so I just walked out of the room after that little coincidence. It maybe wasn't a great example, but...It was the first thing that came to my head.
So, when Tara and I were hanging around at her house this afternoon, I told her exactly that;
"I love being a lesbian", and she just went silent for a second and then laughed.
"I love being a lesbian with you too, darling", she said.
And then we went back to making out. Wow, original piece of masterwork.
"By the way, Charlie and Nick are tuning in at the party on Sunday, y' know? Do you know if Tao and Elle are gonna come? And Aled?"
I and Tara had kind of made it our life to plan things for our friends. It could be anything from parties, game nights, full-on beach days, and lots more.
"Yeah, I sent a message to Aled yesterday..But I haven't contacted Tao and Elle yet."She looked ashamed, and like she was hiding something - had I missed anything?
"Why not?" I asked.
"Tao and Elle...They just got into this huge fight, surrounding trips this summer. I..didn't wanna text them..right now."
I nod and then give her a hug.
"It's fine, Tara. I promise. Don't worry. They'll sort it out, as they always do. Hopefully 'til Sunday."She sighs and hugs me back.
"Now, what were we talking about...?" I smile and kiss her on the cheek."Weren't we making out, before we got all sad..?"
"Mmmm. You want me to kiss you?"
She grins and tilts her head up, kissing me.
When we, after a while, take a pause to breathe, she says;
"You're great at kissing me, girl."
"Yeah, you are just fine too", I reply, jokingly.
"Oh, only fine? Let me change your mind."
