Divine Deception

Chapter 2

                                                                                            Betrayal 

On the same day, The royal family of Leones arrived at our castle, confused by the emergency call we sent a few hours ago. They arrive with questions on why they had to come immediately, My mother steps forward and says

"All your questions will be answered soon but first let's make our way where we can discuss this privately", we make our way to our dining table and we all take a seat, both my parents look at each other and my father stands up, he looks at all of us and says

"we recently have received a disturbing letter from Ashley, it is indeed her writing but i have doubt that she was the one who sent this letter" my mother stands up and says " We believed something happened to them, there was blood on the letter; we are not sure if its Ashley blood yet but we will find that out as soon as we get the results but please take a look at the letter and tell us what you think".

My mother walked toward them and handed them the letter, they looked through the letter together and showed shocked expressions, but to me their expressions were unusual, like it was no surprise to them. They had a shocked expression on their faces but somehow it seemed fake. I wasn't sure if I was seeing things or if it was reality. My mind couldn't think straight, I wanted to be alone for a bit to think things through, I believed that my worry for my sister was messing with my head and I needed a break.

I take a deep breath and I stand up and say

"If you'll excuse me i can't seem to be thinking straight right now if there is something important that comes up please come get me, i will be in my room"

I get up from my chair and make my way to my room lost in thought, I take the first steps of the stairs and I instantly feel someone watching me, it felt like a chill running through my whole body; I turn around to see my surroundings but I see nothing. I start to walk cautiously up the stairs to my room. The feeling of being watched just got stronger the closer I got to my room. I wanted to run up the stairs as fast as I could but it felt like I was being trapped, like my surroundings were getting smaller each step I took.

When I arrive at my room I notice the guard that always stands in front of my room is missing. I started to wonder if he could be on his lunch break but it was 4:23pm and he usually has his lunch break around noon like the rest of the people who work here.

I walked closer to my room and as I was about to touch the door black smoke started to surround me; it started to become harder to breath and see, I kept looking around me to see if I could see anyone but all I could see was the blurry black smoke that was making me sick.

I held on to the rail, trying not to faint as I spotted a small red flame. I tried to get close to it until I heard a very familiar voice " I found you, your wish for answers has been heard; it's time for you to discover the truth of this world". As I slowly look up, I see the very same man that I have encountered twice already. I wanted to say a word to him, But my body shut down completely before I could and everything went black.

I lay there unconscious, as the guy with blond hair and green eyes started to touch my hair, brushing through it with his fingers and giving a small smirk towards my unconscious body.

Through the black smoke another man appears and says

"Xavier, is this the girl?" He stands up and says

"Yes she is, isn't she pretty? Its sad that she's not human or i would of kept her like my own personal doll"

The man behind Xavier showed no expression and said " Get her to the base, There is no time to waste"
