A/N: Ahhhhh guys I'm so sorry. I keep forgetting to update but I swear I will do better than once a month from now on!
~Flashback~
Kelly looked around the two bedroom apartment smiling they all were they finally had four walls and a roof. "So where are the others staying?" Kelly asked. Chris chuckled,
"this is for the four of you. No special treatment. you come together you stay together"
Kelly's smile dropped. "what?! That is not what I signed up for!" Chris chuckles some more and walks out. Kelly stamps her feet and goes into one of the bedroom and the twins go into the other room leaving Ashley alone in the living room, she sighed and sat on the couch. From day one when Kelly found out she had to work for her half of everything she tried to get into the inner circle, she had her sight's set on having an easy life in the town. Soon she got what she wanted and Ashley got a bed but it's not really what she wanted.
~Present Day~
"Ash, are you going to get the door?" Emma is looking at her wide eyed.
"um yea" Ash opens the door still confused as to how she got to the door. "Hey Jeremy, how's the kitchen life?" Jeremy laughs.
"better than the gate was treating me. I hear you got a new roommate?"
"yea..Um.. I did it's just temporary though"
"can I meet her?" Ash nods, still a little dazed from her flashback as she steps aside letting Jeremy in. Emma turns to the pair at the door,
"Hello!" she smiles brightly at Jeremy who introduces himself and sits next to her on the floor. Ash smiles and goes into the kitchen looking for a snack, or just something to get her mind off the flashback, most of the cabinets were empty due to the fact that the community kitchen cooks the food. She then settles for a glass of milk, and she finishes it off.
"Hey Jeremy can you hang here?" Ash holds up the empty bottle. "I need to go to Dairy." He nods and goes back to the movie on the screen. Ash slips out the door and starts her walk to the farming section of the complex. As she walked across the complex people wave to her and she smiled back and just kept walking. Ash helped Eric set up the complex right after the civil war with the old fraction, but when the complex started she wanted no leadership in the governing section. She had no problem helping out and jumping from section to section, she was nice to others and respected by everyone. They knew she was behind the whole revolution and they knew why she didn't want to take part in the ruling of The Complex. Ash walking into the dairy main lobby and smiled at Ann who was sitting at the desk.
"Hello Ms. Ash want can I do for you?" Ann was wearing a pair of jeans with a tucked in plaid shirt and talked with a strong southern accent. Ash put the empty bottle on the desk.
"I need a refill. I got a small roommate for the time being and I can't not have milk" Ann took the empty bottle and put it in the crate next to the desk stood up and opened the fridge behind her, as Ash signed the clipboard.
"I'm glad to see you up and about." Ann smiled. "It's been too long since I've seen you like this." Ash gave a small smile and grabbed the milk that Ann was holding.
"Thank you, Ann" Ann nodded.
"Will that be all?"
"Yea I think so, hows John doing?"
Ann's smile fades, "Not well, the doc says he's running out of options"
"I'm so sorry Ann"
"it is what it is" Ash smiled and walked out without another word. As she walks back to the apartment Eric sees her. "Ash!" she turns to him.
