Chapter 1-Now what?

Niah Pov

Now what? I kept thinking over and over again as I walked down the street to Terrence house. How am I supposed to tell him I lost my opportunity to college? Will he even still love me? Could I actually be able to afford it next year? Will I actually want to go? I squashed all my thoughts as I was now standing at his front door.

 His parents were gone for the day at the office and his siblings were out and about, so it was the perfect time to spend alone time together. I whip out my phone to text him I'm here and decide to look at my surroundings while I wait. Terrence lived on a quiet street with not a lot of kids playing in the yard. The street was mostly filled with old people whose families never really came to visit them. Terence family was the biggest house on the block since his family was super rich. 

His mom was a doctor, and his dad was a military man who hoped that Terrence would one day follow into his footsteps. His house is two stories high with white brick and a brown door with a little porch where you could sit and relax. His mom was also a Gardner, so her lawn always had beautiful flowers covering it. The door swings open to Terrence in sweats and a t-shirt.

"Hey babe" he says and wraps his arms around me

"hey" I mumble 

"what's wrong beautiful" he says with a look of worry in his eyes

"I have some news but let sit down first" I say

He moves past to make room for me to walk through the door. He follows me as I walk past the stairs and into the living room to sit down on the couch, he automatically sits next to me and grabs my hand anxiously.

"Babe what's wrong you're making me nervous" 

I take a minute to look at Terrence and his appearance. He was darkskin with brown eyes, a nice haircut, the most perfectly shaved eyebrows, his button nose and his big pink lips. 

"I went on my laptop to check the status of my application for my loans, and they denied me because of my mom's credit" I say feeling my eyes well up with tears.

" Babe I'm sorry I know how bad you wanted to go to college but maybe it's a sign that you need to take a year off" he says coming closer and rubbing my back 

"Yeah, but you know how much I wanted to get away from my family and now I'm going to be stuck in my house for another year and I won't have you or Luna because you guys will both be away at college" I say with the tears finally bursting out.

He instantly wraps his arms around me and pulls me into his chest. I continue to cry until there's nothing left to cry about. 

"I'm so sorry babe I really am I wish there was something that I could do." he says as he continues to rub my shoulder up and down to soothe me. 

"How about this I know it's not much but how about I order a pizza and we can watch any movie you want to watch?"

I look up and nod. He gives me a small smile and jumps up from the couch to grab his phone and call the pizza guy. I grab the remote off the little table next to the couch and turn on the tv and straight to Netflix. After 30 mins I finally decide on a random movie as Terrence grabs the pizza from the pizza guy. He plops down next to me after he goes to the kitchen to grab us two plates and glasses.

 We eat and drink in silence as the movie plays and I still can't get over the fact that I lost my opportunity to go to college and make more out of myself. a scene pops up on the screen of the couple kissing and moving into bedroom and tearing their clothes off. I can feel the mood shift in the room as I feel Terrence move closer. The couple start going at it and I turned to Terrence to catch his lips on mine. i instantly moan at his touch and wrap my arms around him as he takes my hips and push me down under neath him.

"Do you want to go upstairs to my room?" he says panting 

I nod and he rolls off of me and we both speed out of the living room to the stairs and quickly to his bedroom.

A couple hours later 

I wake up to Terrence shaking me awake.

"Babe its getting late we got to get dressed before my mom and dad and my siblings come home"

I nod and sit up I start picking up my clothes and realized that Terrence ripped my underwear, so I just toss them to the side and put the rest of my clothes on. Once I get myself together I walk downstairs with Terrence and kiss him goodbye 

"Text me when you get home so I know your safe" he says as he pecks me one more time

"Okay babe I will I love you" I say with a smile 

"I love you more babe." he says 

I walk out the door to start heading home. I put my air pods in and jam to my favorite song. I get interrupted by my flo app sending me a notification. I look down and click on it to see that my app is telling me today was my ovulation day.
