Penelope had long, wavy brown hair that extended to the middle of her back with bangs styled straight across her forehead hanging above a pair of large, slanted peridot green eyes and a beauty mark right underneath the left side of her bottom lip. She had the same look as in the manhwa.
If we go according to the book then I think she was an ambitious woman who desired a comfortable and luxurious life above all else. She was selfish and manipulative, capable of turning her back on those she deemed unnecessary. Rather than forming genuine bonds with others, Penelope chose to establish advantageous relationships that would allow her to achieve her goals. She also betrays Claude be with Anastacius and in the end she met her death.
If I remember carefully then once Anastacius became emperor, he allegedly tried killing Claude’s mother and even attempted to kill his own brother using black magic. However, Claude ‘killed’ him, and usurped the throne with the help of his knight, Felix Robane. Later on after Diana’s death, Claude massacred all the concubines in the Ruby palace where he abandoned his daughter to be raised by maids.
What am I suppose to do with this I will resign once I get a good amount of money and live well with a farmer's life .
"Y/N what are you thinking why don't you serve lady Penelope CLAUDE'S FIANCÉ." said Anastacius with stressing the last two words .You served them tea perfectly and while you were serving them Anastacius make sure that you knew she was Claude's fiancé while talking which was kinda irritating. Claude who was all the time unbothered about their talk.
"Are you Claude's personal maid ? " asked Penelope.
"No, my lady but I serve him I soon will apply for being his personal maid ". I replied and then left the three of them alone as I had laundry work to do. I saw Felix outside the garden waiting for his master "Hey man are you gonna stand here all the time ." He just nod in a yes and I left the place . I love having small interactions with him.
At the tea time :
'This woman is really unbothered about Claude having a fiance she didn't even had a glint of sorrow in her face. She is really good at hiding her expressions or she is really unbothered, nah that can't be I think she is good at hiding disappointment' Anastascius thought.
'The tea is good I guess Y/N did a good job for making this her hard work paid off. Will she really apply for being my personal maid ' Claude thought.
'Does she really think that being Claude's maid can get her somewhere is she some kind fool and what's wrong with The Crown Prince of asking her to serve us is he interested in her ? If then there is gonna be some trouble for her ' Penelope thought .
Meanwhile:
"Achooo", "ACHOOOOoooo" , 'is someone thinking about me 'u thought .
"Did u catch cold. " a maid asked
"Nah I am fine btw when is the lunch time "
"Soon" she replied .
"Do u know Master Claude's fiancé has been chosen and he is gonna marry Count ........ daughter Lady Penelope Judith." She said.
"Yeah I met her she is pretty. " I replied. 'What's the point of talking about her she is going betray him soon.'u thought. We then went back to work as we didn't wanted to get scolded by the Chief Maid .
After all my chores were done I went to the Head Maid office. She was a women who was in her 40's she was very loyal to the royal family so I thought applied for being Claude's maid .
"Do you really want to be his personal maid and assist him" she asked .
"Yes, Master does not have any personal maid and he is also a royal family member."
"No one has ever applied for him and he is an illegitimate child you are not gonna be paid extra for being his personal maid are u ok with that ?" She asked.
"Yes, I am ."She just nodded and approved my request I am now his personal maid I need to work hard for him.
After I left the office I told my mother about it she was upset but then again she just agreed because I am stubborn while leaving for the quarter I met a very unexpected guest The Crown Prince .
"Did u like Claude so much that u applied to be his maid ?" Anastascius asked.
"He has no personal maid where as u have three of them, I thought it would be helpful for him to have one. I have no feelings for him other than loyality ." I replied.
"Rat you are really going that far for that scum" he said with an unpleasant look.
"Yeah, I am really sorry Your Majesty if it bothers you" you replied bowed and left.
"You really don't know where you belong. You are really looking down on me because of that scum."
