You sat at the edge of the bed, a bowl of warm soup that you made in scratch placed in your lap. You moved the spoon filled soup to Kuchel's mouth.

The soup lacked lots of ingredients but you  compelled to make it good for the sake of the taste

"I can eat by myself. Y/n, No need to feed me" complained by the pale revennette after taking the spoon full of soup in her mouth.

You shook your head in disagreement, "I know but you still need to restore the energy you've lost this past few days. Just rest and let me and Levi do everything for now, please"

Kuchel took a moment before giving in, sighing "Fine, I'll rest just for today. Okay? I still need to work" she said leaning on the wall, closing her eyes.

You slightly nodded, a ghost smile appearing on your lips. You were going to leave to do something necessary; go on stealing food since Kuchel won't be able to today.

You would come home with scrapes but you didn't paid any more mind to it since it would just instantly heal on it's own.

Since you've got this ability, you have been  going out hunting more often.

You were just waiting for Levi to finish with the dishes so he can replace you for the mean time, as if on cue. Creaking of the rooms rusty door brushing against the rough flooring are heard, revealing the said boy.

Levi sat next to you, his left foot on the bed, and right foot on the floor keeping him steady from slipping into the ground. You stood up handing the bowl to Levi. Walking to the door, you flashed them a smile.

"Take Care, I'll be back in a few"

With that, you left the house ready to get the hunting done with your trusty knife to protect yourself.

A week has come to pass. Kuchel had started working again days ago, without the woman the house became relatively silent  despite having Levi around.

Occasionally You and Levi would be doing the chores that needed to be done. Since the both of you finished fast, You and Levi had nothing to do to pass time.

Levi put the cleaning supplies in the supply closet, leaving the broom snug at the small empty space in between the closet and the wall.

Seeing the supplies perfectly stationed in their right spot. Levi finally closed the gap. Sighing in content, he strode to the living room.  Catching sight of you sitting there, he stopped in front of you, he observed you being in your own little world for a second before plopping next to you.

"What are you thinking about? Must be crucial to get you making 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 expression." Asked Levi, his blunt monotonous voice making you flinch out of your racing thoughts.

"Huh? Oh... It's nothing," you shook your head, trying shooing those apprehensive thoughts, "I'm probably just imagining things 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣" you said, most likely to yourself.

"Hmp, a penny for your thoughts?" Levi said, plopping his hand on the arm rest of the soft fluffy couch

"You don't have any penny's. Levi"You teased. A teasing grin appeared on your face. Attempting to lighten up the mood for a bit

" You know what i mean, 𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩." Levi scoffed, glaring at you playfully.

" So i'm a brat now huh," you said, smirking  in a taunting manner.  After a few seconds your smirk slowly faltered, 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 thoughts coming back again.

"Well... since you are so eager to know. Have you noticed Kuchel limping everytime she came home from work?" Once you have said that, the tension in the air suddenly became heavy.

Levi thought for a moment. "She 𝙞𝙨, now that you've mentioned it. There's also a lot of changes when mom started working again after the 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩, she's have been looking paler and drained." He answered. In the matter of fact, Levi had also saw this small changes of his mom in his own two eyes. The way she would nearly fall from the lack of energy and how weak she moves. The scene were deeply tattooed on his mind that not that he could apparantly show it but he couldn't help but to get worried on his mom, and create indications on what is happening.

"She would look like she would pass out  while doing errands too" You added, sighing, you combed your hand through your hair gripping it tightly in frustration.

𝐊𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮? 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠..

Suddenly something popped up to mind, "Levi, Do you know where Kuchel is working at?"
