parents: magnus was born to queen grace and king lucien. he always had a troubled relationship with his father. he was a little bit too much like him. (og's of the lovelylavenders- cinematic universe will understand) his mother on the other hand, he loves her to pieces. he has always tried to hide his troublemaking ways from her the best he can.
childhood: magnus was actually a sweet little boy, opposed to his bossy and uptight sister. nobody really knows what happened to him. when he was younger he was kind and helpful and generally loving. he loved to run around outside with the dogs, read in his alone time, and play lots of chess.
teenage years: when magnus hit 15 he became a menace. he started terrorizing the staff, sneaking out every night, and inviting over his troublemaking friends from school. in the media he was known as "the rebel prince." him and his sister grew even further apart. because of his behavior his parents decided to make the siblings joint rulers instead of allowing magnus to rule since he was a few minutes older. this angered magnus as he believed that he should be the sole ruler. he began to formulate ideas on how to get out of it. if he couldn't have everything then he wanted nothing. why should he give up his life of relative freedom for a joint throne.
