At Kellerman's, we come together
Singing all as one
We have shared another season's
Talent, play, and fun
Summer days will soon be over
Soon the autumn starts
And tonight the memories whisper
Softly in our heartsZayn sings up on stage. I sit at a corner table with my mum and dad. Gemma is up on stage with the others. It's our last night here.
Join hands and hearts and voices
Voices, hearts, and hands
At Kellerman's
the friendship last
Long as the mountain standsThey all sing together. My sister's solo is up.
Daytime, nighttime, any hour
Weather rain or shine
Games and lectures
Jokes and music
Happily combineIt's totally out of key but I love her passion. As they keep singing Robbie walks past us. My dad stops him and hands him an envelope with cash.
"Good luck in medical school, son.""And I wanted to thank you for your help with the Eleanor situation. I guess we've all gotten into messes." Robbie grins.
My dad stares at him dumbfounded.
"What?"Robbie looks at me and then back at my dad. He twists uncomfortably.
"I thought Baby told you. Look, I'm not sure. Eleanor said so, but you know with girls like that. They're liable to pin it on any guy around."My dad rips the envelope from his hand and Robbie hurries off. I'm glad that he knows that Louis is innocent even if that doesn't change anything. They continue to sing on stage. It's Max's turn.
So let's join in
just one last chorus
Visitors, staff and guests
What we've shared
won't be forgotten
Old friends are the bestAll of a sudden Louis stands in front of us. I gasp in surprise. He looks my dad straight in the eyes.
"Nobody puts Baby in a corner."He holds out a hand for me to take and smiles.
"Come on."I get up and take his hand and he pulls me toward the stage. He walks right up to the microphone.
"Sorry about the disruption, folks but I always do the last dance of the season. This year somebody told me not to. So I'm gonna do my kind of dancing with a great partner... who's not only a terrific dancer... but somebody who's taught me
that there are people willing to stand up for other people no matter what it costs them. Somebody who's taught me..."He looks at me lovingly and squeezes my hand. My cheeks are blushed.
"about the kind of person I want to be. Mr. Harry Styles."My father is getting up but my mother stops him
"Sit down, Des."Louis walks over to Liam and hands him a record. I wait in the middle of the stage, my heart pounding erratically in my chest.
The music starts and he gets behind me and raises my arm and places it around his neck. He graces his fingers against my side and takes my hand. He kisses me on the nose before he spins me and we start to dance.
"I think he gets this from me." My mother tells my father at the table. We dance the routine we practiced but this time I'm not scared to death or tense. My smile is genuine and I move to the music, dance with my Louis like I have done so many times by now.
All of a sudden he kisses my hand and jumps off the stage. He dances his way through the audience and does some heavy hip rolls in front of his friends, the staff. He gets down on his knees and shakes it off before they join him, dancing their way back to the stage. It's a dance that no one has ever seen out in a fancy dining hall and I love it.
He looks at me and I know what's coming. I nod my head. I can do this! Two guys lift me off stage and I run up to him and jump and he lifts me over his head. The audience clap and cheer and I let out a liberating laugh. I made it!
He takes me down and we dance close to each other, in our little world. Around us the staff removes the chairs and invites the guests to dance as well.
Louis takes my hand and leads me off the dancefloor. We run into my parents. My father looks at Louis and puts a hand on his arm.
"I know you weren't the one who got Eleanor in trouble. When I'm wrong, I say I'm wrong."He turns to me.
"You looked wonderful out there." He says emotionally.I smile and hug my dad. We're gonna be okay. Louis takes me back to the dancefloor. He holds me in his arms and looks me deeply in the eyes while he sings softly to the song still playing.
Now l
Had the time of my life
No, I never felt
this way before
Yes, I swear
It's so true
And I owe it all to youHe scrunches his nose cutely and then he kisses me.
