I wake up to hear absolutely nothing. i look out the window at the other end of the room and see that the sun is up and it looks as though its mid-morning.
I sit there for a bit thinking about how many people i knew that ive seen dead now and if anybody i know is still alive. Honestly i genuinely hope anybody i know is now dead.
I mean like not a bad way, i just dont want anybody else to have anymore suffering and pain in their lives.
My mind travels to my friend Kelsie and realised something.
As i was walking home yesterday i saw her...
"Shes dead..." i mumble
I know for a fact that i saw her yesterday on my way back from that shop but couldnt place a name on the face I saw tied to a lamppost
I sit there for a moment deciding what today will consist of and choose to go back to the school that i dreaded.
It just felt right
Once i get there i find myself walking towards this one spot in the woods of my school where Kelsie and i had a treefort where we would hide from the teachers
I check my surroundings and cautiously head up the tree
I reach the forts entrance and see someone sitting in it.
"They havent noticed me yet" i think to myself.
As if he had heard me from inside my mind, he looks at me on queue and im stunned
"Asher!?" I blurt out
Asher just stares at me and his face slowly turns into the bright smile everyone knows him for that can fill a room with light
"I thought everyone from our school was dead" The look across his face was one of shock.
As i go to take the last step into the fort itself my foot slips and i fall out of the tree.
I hear Asher shout something but im unable to process what his words were
I hit the ground with a crack and thud and black out
