New world

Cullen's house, Alaska

Edward Cullen and his vampire family had just moved to Alaska a few weeks ago. His vampire parents had decided that they would stay here for few years, taking a break from their mundane life. Also taking this opportunity to visit their cousins who lived in Alaska and who follow the same diet as them.

He looked up as Carlisle phone suddenly started ringing.  They all looked at Alice who had a gift to see the future. She looked a little nervous. Jasper stood beside her spreading a wave of calmness in the room.

"It's your friend Sanguini, it was a last minute decision, I do not know what he wants, but whatever it is, will change our life". Alice said nervously. Going through possible future and having lot of blind spots in it.

" Carlisle you should answer it". Edward implored him, his sixth sense telling him that the phone call might be very important for the family

Carlisle took a deep breath out of habit and answered the call with uncertainty.
"Hello, Dr. Carlisle Cullen here".
" Hello Carlisle, it's been a while, I hope you and your family are doing well. "
"Yes Sanguni, we are all good, and I hope you and Helga are well".
" Yes" He paused "Listen Carlisle, you might already know that I have an important matter to discuss with you, actually a favor to ask of you and your coven".
" What is it my friend, I will help you if it's within my limits to do so".

There was a long pause from other side
"Carlisle do you remember that I once said that there is far more to this world then just vampires and werewolves".
Carlisle looked at his family as they all looked sharply at him. He shook his head silently telling his family that he hadn't believed Sanguini at the time.

"Carlisle I met a strange being few decades ago and he showed me a complete different World. A world where everyone knows what we are".

They all looked shocked at this information but still listen to their conversations intently
" I can't tell you more about them because it's not my secret to tell".
" I can understand my friend, but may I know what you want from us".
There was another pause
" This new world I know just went through a huge war and there were many injured. There were vampires involved too".

We all heard Sanguini sign sadly, we all felt a degree of sadness, most of us had seen a war before and knew how it can effect a civilization. And if the vampires were involved than the casualties would be more than a normal war.
"Carlisle, there is a child...... " Sanguini hesistated " She was bitten by a nomad during the war". Everyone in the room felt sadness
Carlisle looked around they all now knew what favor Sanguini wanted from them

"How old is she".
" 14 year old, she would have been 15 in couple of months".
Esme let out a cry, her thoughts  clear to everyone. She was too young. Almost as young as the volturi twins.

"Carlisle, there are lot of things about her that are uncertain, we don't even know whether she will be able to survive the change, you see she is not exactly human to begin with. But I have strong feeling that if she survives the change then she would prefer your way of living then the traditional life".

They all looked at each other, Jasper and Rosalie strongly against the idea of taking her in. Alice was very uncertain because of her lack of vision. Esme and Carlisle had already decided to take her in. As for him, he didn't know why but he strongly felt that they should welcome her. He couldn't explain his feelings but he would support whatever decision that Carlisle makes

" I would ask you and your coven to take her in, and will assure you that she will not be like a immortal child. In fact we are hoping that she would atleast retain some part of herself even after the change."
