"L/N-ssi, I have one more favor to ask."

Is what Kwon Sung says just as they finish their food, the KFC almost empty at this time of the night. Y/N looks up from her own empty plate, wiping her lips clean, and she has to smile and commend Sung-ssi for his sheer audacity to ask for another favor right off the bat, after just signing away his foreseeable future to be her personal dress-up doll. Usually, Y/N would be more wary of people who ask for too much favors, but in the short time she's interacted with Kwon Sung-ssi, she's discovered that the guy rarely does things without rhyme or reason. So with that thought in mind, Y/N nods for Sung-ssi to talk, giving him a chance to tell her what he needs from her. Go big or go home, right? Right.

"I know a team that would be joining League of Street too, and I think Vinny would fit with them, not to mention his skills would be a definite boost to their team's overall performance." Sung-ssi explains, pushing his glasses up his nose. "The leader of the team used to be Vinny's childhood friend, so I'm sure if we ask and explain the situation, they'll take Vinny in."

Y/N leans forward on the table, humming thoughtful. "And I'll be there to... sell the whole thing better?" Sung-ssi nods at her guess. "I should vouch for him, back up whatever you say, then?"

"Basically, yes." Sung-ssi confirms. "We don't have to lie, so what I told you is what I'll tell this guy."

"Wouldn't your friend be pissed that you're basically-" Y/N makes a waving motion with her hand. "Spilling his life story to what basically are strangers?"

Sung-ssi is quiet for a while, his expression forlorn. He sighs after a while. "I don't want to do it, but if it helps Vinny in the end, I'll do it. I'll accept full responsibility for my actions and my words, so don't worry about Vinny." He sighs again, heavier than before, and he looks away, seemingly lost in thought. "That guy... he tries to do everything by himself without ever daring to ask for help, because he doesn't want to be seen as weak..."

Y/N just looks at Sung-ssi for a while, takes a really good look at the guy sitting opposite her, and she-

She actually feels a little jealous.

"... Hong-ssi is such a lucky guy to have a friend like you." Y/N murmurs with a smile, Sung-ssi's eyes flicking back to her. "You'd really go to such lengths for him?"

"Yeah." Sung-ssi replies, without even a moment of hesitation. "He's my friend. That's enough reason, right?"

Y/N smiles, but doesn't answer. She's not really sure if she has anyone who she'd go to any lengths for. Anyone that is alive, that is. Her mother, the only person she loves, is gone now, and she has no one else since. It was her turn to look away, lest Sung-ssi sniffs out her own loneliness. After all, she can't be all vulnerable with a guy she just met just now, can she?

"Yeah, it's reason enough." Y/N replies after a moment, looking back at Sung-ssi with a grin. She holds her hand out to him. "Let's go help out your friend, hm? Whether he likes it or not."

Her words must've surprised Sung-ssi, who gapes for a moment, before he manages to collect himself and clasp her hand with his own. Sealing the handshake, he grins at her, eyes gleaming with determination. "Leave Vinny to me, L/N-ssi. Just back me up." He replies.

"Here's to a good partnership from hereon, Kwon Sung-ssi!"

A couple days later, once Vinny's bike has been fully repaired, Y/N received a text just before morning classes ended that Sung-ssi will pick her up from school himself, so here she is, waiting by the school gates. She's sent Sung-ssi her school address, and to their mutual surprise, their schools are apparently not that far from each other. Roughly a 20-minute walk, to be exact, and that's with a leisurely pace! Maybe it was coincidence, or simply good fortune, but either way, it works in their favor.
