So long and goodnight
You were sitting in your living room watching TV, and subconsciously rubbing your pregnant belly. You were 37 weeks to be exact. You and Gerard were very excited to be parents for the first time. While you were sitting at home, Gerard was finishing up the last leg of tour with his band, My Chemical Romance. At the end of this week, he was coming home to help prepare you and the house for the baby.
You smiled at the thought of Gerard being a father. You knew he'd be an amazing one. He was loving, caring, and very patient; all good qualities to have to be a parent.
About to go on stage baby, I love you. Take good care of that baby ;) - G xx
Good luck, handsome. The baby and I are cheering for you from home - Y/N xx
You smiled at your phone, and you were positive he was doing the same. You rubbed your swollen belly, and thought of how soon your due date was. Three weeks from now, you'd be a mother. The thought blew your mind.
As you were watching TV in the living room, you fell asleep on the couch. Your legs were propped up on the coffee table, and your head was on the back of the couch. Being pregnant made you exhausted, but you still loved every minute of it.

You woke up with excruciating pain in your lower back. You weren't sure if you were in labor, so you timed the contractions. They were five minutes apart. You got off the couch as quickly as you could, and walked into your bedroom. There was a bag next to the door. It had everything you needed for the hospital.
You grabbed the bag, and grabbed the keys off your dresser. You unlocked the car, threw your bag in the back, and got into the drivers seat. You put the keys in the ignition, and then plugged your phone into the car.
You turned the car on, and then called Gerard's manager. Since Gerard was currently performing, you had to call someone to let your husband know.
"Hey, it's y/n. I'm in labor, and on my way to the hospital, please let Gerard know."
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
You arrived at the hospital. You opened up the car, and grabbed your bag. You waddled up to the front desk of the hospital.
"Hi, how can I help you?"
"My name is y/n, and I'm having a baby."
The nurse brought you a wheelchair, and you sat down in it. The nurse wheeled you down the long hallway, and into the elevator. You two made some small talk while waiting to get to the third floor.
She wheeled you in, and helped you out of the chair, and into the bed. The nurse checked your vitals, and then called a doctor into the room.
"Hi, y/n. I'm Doctor Bennett. Let's have this baby." He said smiling at you.
You nodded in his direction, and then you moaned in pain. The contractions were getting closer together, and much more painful.
"You're doing great, dear." The nurse said to you. "Is the father on his way?"
"I'm not sure." You answered. "He's currently at work right now- and can't be pulled away."
"Well hopefully he'll be here soon, he wouldn't want to miss this."
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Just as you were starting to push, Gerard walked in. He came straight over to you and held your hand.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be here sooner, baby."
You pushed on your contraction. "At least you're here, Gee."
He nodded. "I wouldn't miss this moment."

Several hours of labor later, you and Gerard had a precious baby girl. You two were currently debating on a name for her. Everything that came to mind just wasn't good enough for your daughter.
"How about Bandit?" Gerard pitched.
You thought it over in your head, and smiled. "It's perfect. Bandit Way."
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Gerard had a few days off of tour to spend with you and the baby. While you two were cuddled up on the couch at home. Bandit was in her nursery being quiet as ever. As you and Gee were talking, Bandit started screaming. You excused yourself, and went upstairs to calm her down.
You picked her up and started rocking her, but that didn't help. You checked her diaper, and she was fine, and you had just fed her an hour ago.
Gerard came in after you, and wrapped his arms around you. "Mind if I try something?"
You shook your head.
"What's the worst thing I can say? / Things are better if I stay / So long, and goodnight / So long, and goodnight" Gerard started singing softly.
Bandit calmed down as her father was singing, and fell asleep in your arms.
