A small figure slipped through a crowd of green and blue dragons. The dragonet held a small bag around her tail that she had clutched onto, making sure it wasn't dropped. It was late afternoon, and by the time she got home the water was dark.
Her home was on a small island in a cozy cavern that you could swim into then hop out and dry your scales off. The island was just off the summer palace, right next to markets and villages.
"Archaic I'm home!" She shouted to her cousin Archaic. A hive wing poked her head out from behind a shelf. "Oh, hi." She mumbled to Neptune. Neptune's wings drooped as she folded them back and put away the few cheap scraps of food she had managed to buy with her money.
Archaic was a dusky orange hive wing with black only on her neck stripes and around her horns. She was older then Neptune and had moved to Pyrrhia at a later date but had discovered more scrolls to consumer.
Neptune unclimbed the golden earring that dangled from her ear, carefree. Her wings modded into skinny, four shaped wing and her head got sharp edges when her tail went from bulky to thin and elegant.
She fluttered her wings and looked into a mirror. "Wasp can't find us this way." She muttered to herself. "Ya know, I still don't know whether to call you Yarrow or Neptune, for the record." Archaic lifted her snout our of her scroll for a second time, which was unusual.
"Neptune. I like my aquatic form anyways" She said gleefully as her earring snapped back on and her body took the shade of a sea wing again.
