Hermione's P.O.V

I sat under a tree, reading. "Hey, Hermione." Ron said, walking up to me. I waved. "Where's Harry?" I asked. Ron's face turned red with anger. "Nowhere." He said. "Do you want to sit down?" I asked, patting the ground beside me. He took a seat. "What are you reading?" He asked me. "Hogwarts, A History. Your sister has read it, why won't you?" I replied. "Too big of a book." He said. I laughed. I saw Ginny and Harry walk by. They were laughing. "All over her, who does he think he is?" Ron muttered. "He thinks he's Harry Potter, silly." I said. I continued reading until I remembered Malfoy torturing me yesterday. Nobody knew. I instantly flung myself into Ron's arms and started crying. "Hermione what's wrong?" He asked me. He hugged me as I cried. "Oh, it was the worst! He used the curse, Ron. The Cruciatus curse!" I said. "Come on, let's go somewhere else." He said. He helped me up and I continued to hold onto him, especially around Malfoy. "Malfoy used the Crucio curse on me, Ron. That's a one way ticket to Azkaban." I said, quietly, my head on Ron's shoulder.

He had his arm around me. "Don't worry. Who was with you when you were taken?" He asked. "Well, Harry was supposed to watch me." I said quietly. "Does he know?" He asked. I shook my head. Right then, Harry and Ginny walked in. Ginny ran towards me when she saw my tear-stained face. Ron, still with his arm around me, told Harry what happened. Ginny listened also. "HOW COULD HE!!" Ginny screamed. "Hermione, I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention." Harry said. He tried to hug me, but I jerked away. "I can't." I said. I ran to the girls dormitories. Ginny followed. "Are you mad at Harry?" She asked. "Yes." I said. I was mad because Malfoy was looking at me and Harry was talking to his friends. He knew what he had to do. And even when I disappeared, he did nothing.

I went back down to the Common Room and saw everyone there. I was glad I stopped crying. Ron hugged me and so did Fred and George, they knew from the Maurader's Map. "He won't ever go to Azkaban. We know that." I said quietly. "He could." Fred said. He wasn't happy. Neither was George. Harry seemed perfectly fine, though. I didn't care. He was a horrible friend anyway. "What's up with Harry?" Ginny asked. "He hasn't talked to anyone." She finished. "I don't care." I said. "He knew he was supposed to watch me because Malfoy was all over looking for me." I said.
