Jay scrolled on his phone with his lips pursed, boredom sitting on his face as his feet tapped in impatience, his eyes darting back from the impending stairs and his phone, before having to say "I'm leaving if you're not here in the next 2 minutes."
Giselle's parents had sent an invite to Jay and Hana, on the gratitude for letting their daughter stay there. Two days earlier, they had called for the same, something catching Hana's attention was how they complained about their only daughter choosing to stay at a distant cousin's house rather her parents.
Even when she's on holiday and has no work related errands to run that can't be commuted from their house.
In the next minute had the ladies come down, hair springing back and forth as they descended down the stairs, one's platforms creating a strong firm echo and the thin heels clacking against the marbled floor.
"Ugh, have mercy on this fragile heart Madame" Jay joked as his raked over his wife's fit today, who rather enjoyed the attention with a twirl, decked up in a long mermaid end skirt in baby blue, a cropped black leather jacket and a white halter neck underneath, a red van cleef necklace carrying it off.
"If you both are done, can we?" Met with Giselle's uninterested gaze, they instantly obliged, truthfully, one wouldn't want to be in the same room of a mushy couple but they didn't want to set off things now.
Hana followed behind Jay and Giselle, not noticing them ascending towards the car already while she locked the door, once opening the what she thought was the naturally empty passenger seat.
Her eyes widened slightly at the sight of Giselle already buckling up, "Oh shit, sorry. Will you sit here?" Giselle tried unfastening her seatbelt before hearing the decline of Hana.
"Uh, no no. It's fine, more space at the back" She smiled before closing the door on her face, settling her face back to normal and made herself comfortable in the back.
"Giselle?"
Giselle's head snapped to Jay's side, a bright smile on her face radiating off some sort of happiness. "I'm going to let this time pass but that's my wife's place alright?"
Giselle blinked, a deer before bright light at it's face, looking bewildered. The same reaction at the back, Hana who believed she might as well be dreaming.
"Well then, let's put this BMW to use shall we?" He winked through the rear mirror, laughing at his wife's parted mouth in surprise.
This man. . .
How gracious God is, all for meee.
After the long, one hour drive to the big society Giselle lives in, they had to drive inside the community another 12 minutes because the bungalow is inside, and there's more than half to get through.
Giselle got off before Jay could park properly, almost a bit furious. The couple followed behind however, smiling as Giselle pushed the ring bell once.
Twice.
Same second, thrice again.
"Geez, baby, calm down! How are you my big kiddo" A woman in her sixties who looked like a older version of Giselle herself threw herself onto her daughter, who only patted her back.
"Oh my darlings! Jay, Hanna. . ? What a wonderful couple I must say!"
