It's now the night time and Rebekah is patrolling the streets looking for the blonde haired vampire who is posing a threat to Shadowlake. She hears a bang behind her so she spins around with her stake in hand. Her heart racing itself to the finish line. There is no one there so she turns around and carries on walking. She always thinks of the worst when she hears a noise in the background. She thinks that a monster is coming to kill her.
She is looking round but the only things she has seen is an abandoned car and vandalised buildings. She is in the back alleys of Shadowlake, the vampires usually meet up here. Rebekah has slayed a couple here before.
"Why did you bring me here?" She hears a girl shout. So she rushes to where she heard it from. Rebekah sees the pair and the blond haired vampire who is in front of the girl, looking uncomfortable. Rebekah is hiding behind a wall and spying on the pair. Her heart races as the vampire walks closer to the girl.
He laughs and says "Because I need to show you what is going to kill you."
"Are you a monster?" The girl asks. Rebekah is waiting for the right time to attack. Greg was right about him. He is a threat to the people of Shadowlake.
"Sort off," He walks even closer to the girl and looks at her with his vampire face. He continues, "I'm a vampire."
Rebekah, with a smile on her face, shows her stake and adds "And my next victim!"
The girl runs away and the vampire looks pissed off. He then looks at Rebekah and walks towards her while he shakes his head. She is keeping the stake in her hand, making sure he knows that she can defend herself. He is now face to face with her and then he asks "Who are you supposed to be?"
"I'm Rebekah Pierce, the slayer. And you are about to know exactly who I am." Rebekah says and then she kicks him in the stomach which makes him fall onto the floor. He uses his vampire speed to jump back up from the floor. He shows his vampire face and rushes over to her then he slaps her in the face pretty hard which makes her slam down onto the floor.
Rebekah looks up to the vampire and laughs then she says "You hit like a human."
She jumps back up and then the pair fight some more. She then manages to grab a hold of his arm and puts the stake to his chest. It's like he's been told to surrender because he has suddenly stopped fighting back. Which Rebekah finds so strange.
The pair reach the bags and the vampire's feet hit against the bags pretty hard. "Goodnight, bitch." She says, quoting Buffy, then she stabs his chest with the stake which makes him dessicate and fall onto the floor. Rebekah then sets off walking when she feels something is off. The vampire stopped fighting back as she got nearer to the bags.
Rebekah looks back around and her face drops along with her heart. A body has been revealed out of one of the bags. She has tears in her eyes as she walks towards the body to investigate. It's part of her job, to make sure no monster is killing people in Shadowlake. She looks at the body of the girl and sees there is no bite mark so a vampire didn't kill her.
But, who did?
She gets her phone ready to ring 911 when a text from the same person as this morning comes through on the phone. She looks at it and panic rises in her mind. Looks like she's got an anonymous assailant on her hands and she has to find out who it is before death catches her.
The text reads...
'Game on, bitch. - Red Devil.'
Rebekah then texts Greg, her watcher, to come as soon as he can. She looks at the girl's body and it looks stone cold. Red Devil is the one who did this to her and Rebekah may be next. What if the Red Devil goes after Louisa or Josie next?. That thought makes Rebekah feel like the ground is falling around her.
She jumps when she hears Greg shut his car door. She has a sigh of relief when she sees Greg walking towards her and not Red Devil coming to finish her off. He reaches her and his face drops when he sees the body.
Rebekah, with tears in her eyes, says "I found her like this."
He walks over to her and asks "Any bite marks?"
She shakes her head and says "No! No bite marks! A vampire didn't do this, it was something else." or someone else?
Greg looks at her and says concerned "Have you had another text?"
"Yeah and this time it gave me its name." Rebekah responds, with her heart beating.
"What name?" Greg asks. He is very concerned about the slayer. He does not want to lose another one to death. It nearly destroyed him. Actually, that started out with the texts too. That's why Greg is feeling some sort of twisted deja-vu. He has been worried for Rebekah's safety for a while and this has made it worse. Way worse.
"Red Devil!"
Then, bang! A loud clatter noise is heard behind them so they both snap their heads around to the noise. It was like someone was spying on their conversation.Greg quickly gets his phone out and dials 911 to call the police about the body. While his phone is at his ear and it's dialing, he looks at Rebekah and says "Let me handle this and you rush home for safety."
"Are you sure? I need to be here." Rebekah says back, not wanting Greg to be left alone.
"Yes, I'm sure! You need to get home!" Greg exclaims.
Rebekah then hugs his side and sets off walking away. She gets her phone out and starts texting Louisa to come and pick her up. No way is she walking home when a murderer knows she exists. It'd be like she's walking into a trap. Louisa texts back that she's two minutes away so Rebekah goes back onto the main street so she is around people and waits for Louisa.
As she stands outside the Millwood Theatre, which is airing the new movie, Original Sin, she looks over her shoulder at all times. Scared that death will finally catch her with both hands. Louisa's car pulls up as police cars speed past her which makes Rebekah's heart drop because she knows the reason they are out tonight.
And it may be her fault.

Back in her bedroom, Rebekah is chilling and watching a movie. Her mind racing with what she saw tonight and what Red Devil meant by the text. Who is the Red Devil? All these unanswered questions are looming in her head and she can't seem to shut off. Like it's a constant marathon round her head.
A loud clatter is heard again so she rushes up and looks outside. Her heart races and a lump forms in her throat. There's a person, dressed up in a red hoodie, just spying in her bedroom at the end of the driveway. "That's Red Devil." Rebekah says to herself as fear runs through her veins.
She runs to her knife and rushes to her front door. She shuts her door and goes to the end of the driveway to see that Red Devil disappeared into thin air. Then she looks around the dark street, with her knife in her hand and alone.
That's when she realises her life's in danger.
