Asha POV

I slowly opened my eyes, the sun shining in from the window was blinding me. I quickly hide my face in Eric's chest, he was still sleeping soundly.

I adjusted my head so I was looking at him, I gently take my fingers and slowly trace the tattoo on his neck. Eric slowly woke up and looked down at me, he gave me a gentle smile.

"Good morning,"

"Mornin' Eric,"

"You have a few meetings today, so you need to get your pretty little self out of bed, right now,"

I groaned knowing that these meetings were all the same, what we planned on doing to improve Dauntless, don't get me wrong I love to improve the place, but having these meetings all the time gets a little boring.

"Why? They are so boring we talk about the same thing every time,"

He gives me a small chuckle,

"Well, that's part of being a leader," he tells me and then gives me a quick kiss before getting out of bed.

I go to get out of bed but fall back onto the bed when I felt the effects from last night.

"Fuck, Eric, my whole body hurts," I groan out.

Eric comes into the room and saunters over to me and smirks when he is right in front of me. Just as I think he is about to say something, he picks me up and carries me to the bathroom.

He helps me in the shower and after helps me get dressed.

"Can't you stay with me all day?"

"Haha, no. You just want me to carry you all day,"

"Maybe, but then my whole body wouldn't be in pain every time I move," I pout at him.

"Sorry Ash, but I have to go train the transfers,"

"Ugh, fine,"

I managed to walk to where the meeting was being held. When I walked in most of the leaders were in the room, along with some other important people as well.

When the meeting starts, I listen very little to what is being said, but when I hear they are talking about how things in my department are being run I listen in to what they are saying.

"I think that the department could be managed better, maybe we need to change who runs it," one of the men says. I am the only girl in the room, most of the men in here are friends with Eric, and I, so they know that I don't like people talking bad about how I run my department.

"Wow, what do you mean that my department isn't doing good, from what I can see, my department is doing way better than most of the others, so please enlighten me as to what you mean that I should be replaced," with each word my voice raised.

"I just think that having a woman run the department is not good because you tend to be more emotional and lenient on your rules, I think that if a man were to run the department that it would be better,"

I stared at the man in shock and anger, I looked around the room to see how the others reacted, friends of Eric and I looked pissed to hear someone criticize how I ran things when they know that I have the highest-ranked department.

"I don't think that you have room to speak, because as far as I know, you're struggling to keep your people in line, they don't listen to you, they don't respect you, because you don't respect them. Unlike you, the people in my department listen and respect me, so next time you think about coming at me and how I lead, you should think about your decisions and why people don't like you." At this point, I was fuming.

"Hey lady, you don't need to get all emotional, just because people respect you doesn't mean that you are better than I am-"

Before he could get another word in, I got out of my seat and made my way over to him, the people that were in the way moved back making a path for me to get to him.

"I never said I was better than anyone here, I'm not, but I am better at what I do. I was first in my class and am in leadership, while you were maybe third in yours, and aren't in leadership. It is clear that you have issues with women being in control, but you can't do anything about me because you are my bitch, I control you, if I wanted I could make you factionless and no one could stop me, so think about what you say to me, because next time I hear an ounce of disrespect about me from you, you will be gone in a blink of an eye," at this point I was in his face, he looked at me an emotionless face trying to act tough in front of everyone, but I could see the fear in his eyes. I slowly backed away and walked out of the room fuming.

I stormed into the training room knowing that the transfers would be there, along with Eric and Four.

The doors slammed open and made a loud bang when they closed, this caused the transfers to startle and stop what they were doing,

"Did anyone tell you to stop!" I yelled, the sound of my voice made them jump and get back to what they were doing.

I saw Eric look at me curiously, from across the room I could see Four giving me a concerned look. I made my way over to one of the punching bags and started harshly punching it.

I was punching for about ten minutes, just as I was about to throw another punch, a pair of hands grabbed my wrists stopping me.

"Easy Asha, you're starting to scare the transfers," Eric whispered in my ear.

"Why are they focused on me? They should be focusing on their own improvement because if they don't pass, bye-bye to them."

"Wow, baby, what's got you all riled up?" At this point I was turned around and looking at him, he had his hands placed on my hips, pulling me closer to him so both our fronts were touching.

"Just that stupid meeting, some guy thought that he could question my ability to lead, he thought that he was better than me, he tried to get me kicked out of my position,"

"He did what?" Eric growled out.

"It's fine now I put him in his place," I tried soothing him by placing my hands on his shoulders and rubbing them.

"No it's not fine, someone tried to get you kicked off leadership, who was it?"

"Eric, it's fine now, I handled it,"

"You aren't going to another meeting again, from now on I'll handle them,"

"Oh, is that all it took for me to never go to a meeting again, just have someone threaten me and you take over for me?"

"Oh, haha, very funny, I think I change my mind, those meetings get very boring, and you said it yourself, you can handle your own, so..."

Just as I was about to complain he walked away from me to go yell at some transfers.

"Jesus that man,"

"Get back to work initiates!" I yell when I notice some looking at me.
