3rd pov

Damien jolts out of bed quickly from a loud crash of thunder shaking in fear as his partner quickly rushes into their shared room rushing to his side and gently stroking his hair, Damian grips her hand tightly as tears began to flow from his eyes " hey hey Damian look at me I'm here so don't cry anymore you're going to be ok I promise" she said in calming voice gently soothing the disturbed boy. The more she whispered to him the calmer he got she gently sat up hurrying out  their room  to get a hot chocolate. 

You see Damien has an intense fear of thunderstorms from trauma that regularly happened on thunderstorms the sounds and the dark and cloudy sky brought back horrific memories that he wanted to keep locked away when Damien started dating Sophia he was afraid that she would judge him afraid that she would laugh at him and call him a pathetic man and he was afraid that she would spread it to everyone making people think he's a weak and  stupid guy afraid of thunderstorms  but she was the the complete opposite of all his fears. She was a kind and understand person who didn't care about things like that, instead of ridiculing him for being afraid of thunderstorms she comforted him showed him love 

Shopia hurried back with the hot chocolate setting it aside their bedside table and going back to Damian's side "Baby I'm back I brought hot chocolate are you still upset" Sophie asked as she laid onto their shared bed stroking Damian's hair as he rest on her stomach. "A-a little" Damian stuttered as he got a tissue to wipe his tears off. "Can I have the hot chocolate now" Damian asked as he snuggled into Shopie. "Of course you can baby" Sophia said as she picked the hot chocolate up gently passing it  to Damian. He sat up gently blowing on the steam before taking a little sip, his lips that were in a frown had contoured into a smile his eyes filled with sadness had been filled with a bit of joy. Sophia couldn't help but smile to her self as she looked at Damian with joy in her eyes. "Sophia Shopiaaaaaa can we play a game please?" Damian enquired as she rubbed his cheek on to her palm giving her the best puppy dog eyes he could " Of course Sweetheart what do you want to play" Sophia asked as she ran her fingers through his hair. "Hmmmm Monopoly" he yelled as a huge grin was plastered on his face. "Really monopoly you always get super competitive when you play the game" Sophie said as she gently booped his nose. "Pleeeaaaasseeeeeee" Damian pleaded doing the best puppy dog eyes he could. "Fine fine we'll play monopoly" Sophia said as she got out of the bed

She got the monopoly out and called Damian out to come and play.
