Unexpected roommate[EDITING]

I'm now outside the door of the apartment. And I sigh in relief.

"Hays! sa wakas, nandito na ako. Teka, open ko muna, 'san naba yung susi ko" Hinahanap ko na yung susi ko sa bag nang biglang bumukas yung door ng apartment.

"Ay, pokwang!" Sabi ko sa gulat, and then I saw him infront of me.

"Ikaw na naman?!" We both exclaimed at the same time.

Ba't siya nandito? Girlfriend niya ba yung roommate ko kaya binisita niya?

"What are you doing here?" I asked in confusion.

"No, what are YOU doing here?" He asked back.

And now we're both confused.

10 mins later

"HA?!" I gasped, because this can't be..

Sabi niya na dito rin daw ang room niya, we both have the same key number as well.

This can't be happening, he's my roomate? I mean, I am fully aware na may kasama ako sa apartment, pero sa pag ka-ka-alam ko ay babae 'yun..well that's what the Landlord said.

"Shut up, ang ingay mo. You don't have to raise your voice." Inis na sabi niya. Kita ko pang nakatagpo ang kilay niya.

Tangina neto shina-shut up lang ako!

"Sabi ng landlord babae 'yung nag-fill ng application. Baka nagkamali ka lang ng room." I said habang nakaupo sa sofa.

"I literally just showed you my key number earlier. Hindi mo ba nakitang magkaparehas tayo ng room number? nakakabobo ka naman kausap." He scoffed and looked away.

kinalmot ko ang ulo ko at napapikit na lang sa hiya.

Nakakahiya! Ipinakita niya nga pala ang room number niya kanina..

"Oh, and that girl that the landlord was talking about was my older sister," He faced me with no emotions written on his face. "I asked her to find me an apartment I can stay in, kaya siya nag fill ng application. Akala siguro ng landlord na siya ang titira sa apartment." He broke eye-contact and looked away again. Hindi niya ba kaya mag eye-contact? 

Kinuha niya yung luggage niya at nagsimula na siyang mag-unpack ng kaniyang mga kagamitan.

"Wala na tayong magagawa, it's gonna be like this for a while." Napabuntong-hininga niyang sabi.

"Lilipat nalang ako, sabihan ko nalang si Jane na-"

"No. Don't tell anyone." He said in a serious tone. He didn't let me finish at may dinagdag agad siya.

"Don't tell anyone that we're roommates." He said while carefully unpacking his things, still wasn't looking at me.

Don't worry Vince, I don't want anyone to know either.

"Oo naman, ayoko din nilang malaman na may lalaki akong roommate 'noh. Baka ano pa'ng i-isipin ng iba." I said to him while filing my nails.

"Avoid talking to me at school din. Don't walk with me patungo school and sa pag uwi, don't make anyone suspicious. Got it?" He looked at me while raising one eyebrow.

Duh, does he really think na gusto ko sabay kami papunta school at pauwi? As if.

"Sure, let's act like strangers at school and at home." I replied avoiding eye-contact. I can still see him staring at my direction in my peripheral vision.

"Good." He said coldly and then he went inside in his room and closed the door.

I sighed.
Nakakastress naman, gosh! Anyways I don't want to let anyone know dahil baka machismis ako ng mga babae sa school, well-known pa naman si Vincent dun. If his crazy admirers finds out then I'm in real trouble.

Nakuha ng cellphone ko ang aking pansin nang bigla itong nag ring.

I quickly grabbed my phone and saw Jane's name, my one and only bestie.

[Huy beh, may chismis ako!] she said on the phone. Confident na confident pa ang tono neto.

Oh, this is gonna be fun.

[Spill the tea.] I answered with a smirk, I sat on the couch to make myself comfortable.

[May transferee tayo beh, babae.] she said excitedly.

Huh? Ba't may transferee eh 3rd quarter na? Malapit nang matapos yung school year. Sana tinapos niya nalang yung school year sa past school niya.

[Maputi daw beh mukhang Koreana daw, sabi ni Josh]  she said.

Ahh, kay Josh pala galing 'tong chismis niya. Anak kasi ng adviser namin si Josh kaya paniguradong sinabihan siya ng mama niya na may bago kaming classmate.

[Ayumi daw name.] Pati pangalan alam na alam. Chismosa talaga 'tong babaeng 'toh.

[By the way, kamusta pag u-unpack ng gamit? Do you need help? Dyan ako matutulog sa apartment mo bukas para ma tulungan  kita sa pag a-arange.] She sounded excited.

Ang bait talaga ng bestie ko, I'm so thankful we became friends.

[No, it's okay, Jane. Don't bother, kaya ko na 'toh mag isa, thanks though.] I again declined her help, as I said kaya ko na 'toh mag-isa.

[Sige ha—anyways, mabait ba yung roommate mo? Pag 'yan maldita at inaaway ka, tawagin mo lang ako sabihin mo 1v1 kami.]  Her tone was so brave and protective. 

I shook my head and covered my mouth to fight the urge not to laugh.

[Don't worry, mabait naman siya.] Pagsisinungaling ko. Hindi mabait ang roommate ko 'teh! Ang sarap nga upakan, eh! [Anyways, matutulog na ako. Maaga pa tayo bukas, bye.]

[Ok beh, bye]

I then ended the call.

Hays, hindi ko pwede sabihin na roommate ko si Vince. Madaldal pa naman 'tong babaeng 'toh, I'm sure ipagkakalat niya out of excitement.

Tulog na ata si Vince. Matutulog nalang din ako.
