Time passes by in Shiganshina, everyone was living out there best lives while ignoring some cult people that were chanting about the walls being the "Gift from God ", however one evening when Carla was hanging out with Haruo by sitting on the bed playing with his white colored hair to show her affection they herd the door being knocked as Carla made it downstairs and opens the door to let grisha and eren in with a new member of the family named Mikasa Ackerman who seems to be a quiet and friendly but stoic looking girl but he got used to her later on as they venture through the streets of Shiganshina and visiting Wall-Maria as a beautiful site to see but they did went through some encounters with some bullies and made a new friend named Armin Arlert whose dream was to venture outside the walls and explore the outside world so he can feel like he's finally free by seeing the ocean. Haruo was no stranger to his new friend's dream and he promised him in his mind that he will somehow help him accomplish this task.
Eren, Mikasa, and Haruo are currently searching for some fire wood to prepare themselves for the upcoming winter which is Haruo's favorite season but Eren being sometimes the young arrogant, and rebellious type wanted to see the return of the Scout Regiment who are the group of soldiers that are allowed to explore outside the walls but over time they experience great loss of their comrades.
Eren: Guys look the scouts, they're back!
Haruo: honestly I never seen them upclose.
Eren: then fallow me !
He did what he was told and all three made it to the streets where the scouts made their return but they got heavy losses which terrified Haruo as they saw an old lady mourning for the death of her son who joined the servey-corps until Mikasa grabbed eren and threw him to a nearby wall As some act of lesson which was something that Haruo can't describe.
Haruo: what the hell was that for Mikasa, why did you throw him?
Mikasa: you too, don't even think about joining eren in the survey-corps And the same goes to you as well eren.
He understood what she meant, joining the scouts may cost him his life but they returned to home and placed the firewood in a secret stash were Carla can find it, however grisha was preparing to leave for a week to visit a patient but while he was packing and Carla minding her own business like cleaning the dishes as the two boys were eating, Mikasa said something that would break up a relationship.
Mikasa: Eren wants to join the Survey-corps.
They were shocked to hear her say that which enraged eren.
Eren: way to keep a secret Mikasa!
Carla: Eren don't you know how many people die outside the walls!?
Eren: I know!
Carla: then you shouldn't go!
Eren: but staying inside the walls feels like we're trapped for the rest of our lives and atleast it feels more open!
Haruo understands why eren will be willing to venture outside the walls as well but he also needs to listen to his mother's rules and wishes while Grisha is preparing to leave and he shows eren the key to the basement since he has never been there before.
Grisha: Eren do you see this key, when i return I'll show you what is inside the basement.
Eren: alright!
As he left the argument got a little too heated and afterwards Carla told Mikasa to find eren and stay close to him at all times.
Haruo: Carla, is it alright if I go explore for a bit?
Carla: of course sweetie, but be careful and hurry back because not only I want eren to come back but also you and your cute little hair of snow.
She ruffles his hair and tickles him , a few minutes later he almost went near the walls and he was able to get pass the guards and as he finally sees the outside while thinking about his past, when he was walking in his home town village back in Japan he used to have a crush on some rich girl from a royal Japanese family that has some relations with his clan, her name is Akari Norigawa and she is a royalist and heiress of her royal family and her friends were at the same level as she was too , one day when Haruo was going to confess his feelings to her, she was with someone else and her friends along with herself mocked him as her oldest brother being the protective type for his sister disgraced him as well leaving the poor boy heart broken but he started thinking about his time in the walls with his new friends and family until he was back in reality by a sudden explosion and what he saw terrified him.

It was giant Titan that stands above the 50 meter wall , he heard some shout out the name of this Titan.
Civilian: Colossal Titan!
This took him by surprise as he quickly got off the wall and rejoined with three of his friends who were nearby lucky for him, they felt the ground shook them as the Colossal Titan kicked down the gate of the outer wall As boulders started flying out and all over Shiganshina like a hurricane that somehow passed through the walls, everyone was screaming in fear as the Titans breach through the outer gate while Haruo went with Eren and Mikasa to see if their house is still intact but only to find it crushed by the giant bolder and Carla was under the rubble she is still alive.
Eren: Mom !
Carla: Eren please take Mikasa and Haruo then get out of here!
Eren: we can still save you!
Haruo: please let us save you, I lost my parents but I can't lose you too!
Eren: Mikasa, Haruo grab that end and lift it up with all you got!
As the three children were doing their best to lift up the rubble to get Carla out as a nearby Titan was coming, a Blonde Man from the Garrison Regiment with O.D.M gear and arrived at the same spot.
Carla: Hannes, get the kids and get out of here!
Hannes: oh come on Carla, my job is slaying Titans and saving lives and I'm gonna do it by saving all four of you!
As Hannes ran towards the nearby Titan he just stopped dead in his tracks, Haruo quickly went to see what's up until he saw a pure Titan with blonde hair and a wide horrific smile on it's face which terrified the living hell out of them, Hannes quickly grabs the kids and left despite eren yelling and telling him to go back to save his mother.
Haruo: Carla!
Carla: Eren, Haruo , I want you guys to know that I Love you you hear me!
With tears coming out of their eyes as the Titan picked up Carla and ate her right in front of their eyes, " That's when it all happened, home was the field, the walls were the pen and humanity was nothing but cattle. "
Haruo began to have the painful memories of his family and clan being murdered and now this, the death of Carla and the fall of Shiganshina district had begun as the three children made it to the boat when they saw a new looking Titan that had tough looking armor and it was called the "Armored Titan " as the rest of the garrison was doing their best to hold off the Titans with cannon fire but with no avail.
Garrison Sargent: what is wrong with you soldier, are you trying to miss!
Garrison private: sir these cannons are for slowing down the Titans with a straight shot, not with that Efficient Accuracy!
Garrison Sargent: I know that, shut up and shoot the cannon!
The cannons continues to slow the Titans down but they were too many of them until they started running away as the Armored Titan ran and broke through the wall killing the Garrison soldiers in the process, however the children who are still on the boat were traumatized by the event as they made it to Wall-Rose and the city of Trost district, now the people of the walls saw it happened the fall of Shiganshina had been revealed.
