Chapter 2.Jealous me

I woke up as the alarm of my phone rang! I rushed up to the bathroom take a bath quickly. I changed into my uniforms then go down to the kitchen and eat some cereals.

I think the storm had stop and the sun is coming out. Good thing it did not rain that long. I heard a knock at the door I hurried up and open it.

Mom! Thank God your home. I hugged my mom and give her a kiss.

"Oh darling! Ready for school?" Mom asked.

Yeah! I'll see you later. Bye mom. Uhm,mom?! Thank you for everything.

Mom stared at me in silence. She look at me with a teary eye. She gave me a smile showing her love for me. I'm a lucky kid.

I closed the door as I leave our house. I explore the beauty of the morning as I headed to our school. I put on my headphone and hit play on my phone. I listened to "Blank Space" by Taylor Swift. I hummed to the tune of it.

Beeeeeeeepppppp! I jumped at the side of the street. I'm at the edge of the street already. Is the driver of the car blind? The nerve! I said at the back of my mind.

I was about to go to the driver and show him that he really did a big mistake. I stopped as I recognized the car. It was John's! He called me from the window of the car.

"Bella! Let's go before we end up at the detention." John invited. The window at the passenger's seat opened. "Bestie! Come on,we should hurry up." It was Anne and she's with John.

I suddenly felt sad of what I saw. In fact I'm jealous. It was hurt and it feels like my heart was pricked with a thousand of needles. No,millions actually.

I ride on the backseat still have my headphones. I can see that they are happy. I can hear them talk about something since I lowered the volume but I pretented that I did not. Anne laugh hard at his jokes and I was like a statue at back.

I just stare at them. I heard Anne asked me. "Hey best,are you coming with us this Saturday?" Anne asked.

Where are we going? I guess I can. I don't know. I wondered. I don't know why I'm beginning to hate her. She's my bestfriend. I need to get rid of hatred I feel.

"We will watch a movie just what we use to do. Oh come on Bella it will be fun!" I heard John spoke.

Okay,I'll tell my mom. Is Chris coming too? Where is he anyway? I asked still bothered.

"He's sick he can't make it to school.His mom called this morning. I hope he could come too." John answered.

Oh,maybe I'll visit him after school. I hope he gets well soon. It will be our finals nextweek. I feel sorry for Chris I hope it's just mild.

"Concern much,huh?! Are you-----" I did not give her the opportunity to finish.

No! He's our friend why should I not be concerned? I shut her out.
They both look at me and their eyes went wide in surprise.

I mean,we all are concerned right? He's our friend. I want him to come and hang out with us. Then I smiled to lower down the tension.

John continued to drive until we reached our school. I opened the car's door and waited for Anne to fo out. I don't her to notice the gap I created between us.

"Go ahead girls I'll parkbthe car then I will follow." John instructed us.

Just when we started walking I heard Anne speak. "Are you okay best?" I know she will asked me that. After what happened in the car.

Yeah! I'm fine don't worry about me. Can we go now? We'll gonna be late. John will just catch up with us. I still can see the confusion on her face.

"Guys,wait up!" John put his hands in my shoulder and in Anne's as well making him stand between the two of us. I felt uneasy but I just let him until we are in our room.

The seat beside me is vacant,since Chris is absent. John seat in front of me,beside Anne. I wish I am the one who's sitting there.

I okay with it but that was before I realized that I'm falling for John. Now It's really hard for me and I can't stand looking at them any longer. It hurts!

"Bella,can you go with me at the bookstore later? Maggie need a book for her subject Algebra.I know you can help me with it." John turned his head facing me.

Oh! Yeah,sure just remind me later I might forget about it. I smiled at him then continue to pretend to back in copying some notes.

John and I can really be a good partner. Whenever he needs help he usually ask me. I'm much closer to him than Anne. I can feel that he sees me only as his bestfriend. Just as bestfriend. I let out a sigh.

I tap Anne's shoulder after our professor dismissed us. Anne I'll need to go to the comfort room. Can you please tell John I'll meet him at the shed.

"Sure.. I'll tell him we will meet you there. See yah!" She replied.

What?! Did I hear it right? We?!!! She's going with us? Maybe John invited him? I look on the girl in thr mirror she looks so sad.

I went out from the comfort room and heahed at the shed. John and Anne was already there. John run towards me then put his hands on my shoulders.

"Let's go! Bye Anne,we'll see you tomorrow. Can you check on Chris? I hope he's okay now." John utterred.

Wew! I thought she will come with us. I turned my back and smile. I hope they did not notice it.

"Okay,I will. I'll text you later. Bye guys,see you! Anne said running.

John got his car from the parking lot then we headed to the bookstore. I ride on the passenger's seat anf the fasten my seat belt.

Hey Johny? What's up with you and Anne? I asked while touching his right ear.

"Anne? Nah,nothing that much. Why did you ask?" He looked at me curiously.

Nothing much! I mimicked him. I was just asking. Maybe if there's something going you'll tell me right?

"Of course you'll be the first one to know." Then he pinched my nose.

Ouch! Why do you always do that? See I look like Rodolph now,my nose turned red.

"Coz you are cute when your face is distorted." John smiled.

Oh yeah! Then I looked at John and gave him a smiled.

When we are at the bookstore I enjoyed every moment I'm with him. He joke around and I laugh hard at it. He really knows how to make me smile. We got the book we needed then go home.
