~Dream's P.O.V~

When I woke up to the noise of an annoying alarm clock٫ I saw George sleeping soundly underneath fuzzy covers.

The night before I couldn't fall asleep for 2 and a half hours, wondering where the brunette was, again.

I stiffly crawl out of bed to stretch. My tail starts to wag when George stirs, sitting up in his blue blankets.

"G' Morning Clay." George says, his accent thick with sleep. It was almost seductive in a way. My face started to heat up. "I'm going to go get dressed now." I quickly run to the bathroom and close the door.

Dammit Clay. Pull yourself together. Just because you have a little crush on your roommate, doesn't mean you can blush like crazy every morning.

Or lose sleep worrying.

I started to take my shirt off when George knocks on the closed door.

~George's P.O.V~

"Hey٫ Clay? Could I use the bathroom?" I start to open the door when I hear Clay scurry around the bathroom.

"Oh... Yeah just.... One second." He sounds kinda frantic?

~Clay's P.O.V~

Not yet.

Not yet.

Just... Not yet.

~Time skip, it's after classes and it's Clay's P.O.V~

As I quickly escape Professor Philza's class, I run towards the science wing of the school. George's last class of the day was Toxicology for flowers? but he has a free period after that so where could he be?

While searching in the science wing, I spot a familiar set of ears, walking out of the mens' bathroom. George's ears! I secretly follow George around the building.

He stops at a couple of his classes to check in on his teachers. He's so sweet. Then, he quickly heads up a couple flights of stairs and looks around to make sure no one sees him as he opens the door to the roof.

Why would he go to the roof? No. We wouldn't. He's to happy to throw his life away. That can't be it. Wait Clay. You're getting ahead of yourself.

If he was going to jump, how come you've been seeing him wake up in his bed each morning? Exactly. Just think rationally.

I quietly follow his tracks and when he exits the stairwell, I hide behind a wall just to make sure. I silently open the door and hide behind some crates.

"Hello, you seem to be doing better today." George sings. Who is he talking to? And up here of all places?

I quickly stand up and come around from the boxes. "George? What are you doing up here?" "Ahh!" George glances in my direction, startled. "I thought you were a teacher! Ha! I'm so glad it's just you."

I look next to him to see no one there; I look down and see what George has been working on all those missing nights.

"Have you been secretly growing a garden up here?" I smile. "Well... It's more of a flower grove, but yes." The brunette sighs defeatedly.

"Ha. So that's why you didn't come back to our dorm when it was 8. You were up here." I sigh, feeling so much calmer, while lowering myself to the concrete roof to sit. "I was so worried."

"Yeah, I saw that there weren't any botany clubs and no one wanted to make one with me, so I decided to secretly make a flower garden." The Brit grins mischievously.

"That's very brave of you Georgie." "Georgie? What the hell?" I wheeze at his response. "It's your nickname now." "My friends back home just called me George or Bossman by Tommy but still."

"Wait. We're you worried about me?" The brunette says smirking. My face turned warm. Did I say that? "Umm...... Do you need help with anything?" I ask, trying to shake the embarrassment.

"Actually, yes, could you bring some of that soil over here?" The feline points behind me to 5 large bags of potting soil. I stand up and walk towards the soil.

I carry 2 bags of soil towards George. "Did you build these enclosures for the flowers too?" I motion towards the four pens made out of wood.

"Yep. Those over there are some of my personal flower seeds, you know, flowers I can see." I snicker. "I was gonna leave those two pens open for flowers of other colors. And this one, I was gonna add some Strawberry plants."

"That sounds like a lot of work for one feline, how 'bout some help from your K-9 friend?" I smile. George turns to reply, but he stops.

"Clay, what are you doing?" I hold my phone up to the same level as George's face. "I want a picture. Say Straw-bury!"

He laughs at my joke. I quickly snap a picture of George laughing against a beautiful sunset. "Well I can at least color code for you."

We spent the next 2 hours planting flowers, watering flowers, and getting covered in dirt. We called it a night and went back to the dorm.

While gardening, I realized just how much George makes me happy. How much his laugh is contagious. How his smile can light up the night.

Whew. Here we go. You got this Clay.

"George, I wanted to ask you something," The brunette looks at me. "What is it?" My heart feels like it's gonna jump right out of my chest.

"Will you.....," Come on Clay. "Watch the guys and I try out of the soccer team this Friday?" Dammit. My tail, that was once wagging frantically, now hangs, as if to say, "really dude?"

"Yeah, I'd be happy to, seeing as I have a free period." He smiles. His brown feline ears perked upward happily. I smile back, hiding the frustration and embarrassment.

We get back to the dorm and change into pjs quickly, seeing as we waisted 2 hours of sleep planting flowers.

"Good night Georgie." I whisper into the dark room. I hear nothing in response except the heavy breaths of slumber.
