✔Austine

Justine Davies

-the door plaque says. Oh my God! I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. I just can't believe this. Today, I'm going to meet the management I'll be under for six years. Once I step inside, I'll be known by the world. Just one step and I'll have one million followers on twitter. I'm screaming internally!

I better knock because I think I'm already staring at the door plaque for like 6 minutes. But omg I just can't. I'm just really nervous and-

*knock knock*

No response. Uhh... should I knock again?

*knock knock*

Still no response. I'm pretty sure I've already mastered reading names since when I was in first grade. The plaque clearly says, Justine Davies. I'm 100% positive that I'm knocking the right door.

*knock knock*

*knock knock*

*knock knock*

What's happening? Omg. What if-

No Aus. People aren't dead. Are you crazy? Maybe there's no person inside.

Yes Aus. There's just no person inside.

So, should I come in? Is it illegal if I come inside without Mr. Davies' permission? What if Mr. Davies call it as trespassing? Omg.

No Aus. I think Mr. Davies is kind enough- I mean his name sounds really nice and kind, that explains it all.

But what if there's a missing stuff inside? And then Mr. Davies would catch me inside and blame it on me?

No Aus. The whole building looks fancy. There are probably six surveillance cameras inside. In that way, I can justify that I'm innocent. Omg I'm so smart.

I went inside and closed the door behind me, only to find out that there's an asshole inside.

A long curly haired boy was inside and his eyes are glued on his phone. Rude. I'm sure he has two ears like me. I know he heard me knocking like duh? For heaven's sake, I've knocked like five times! It's just so impossible that he never heard me. Asshole.

I sat on the chair across the rude boy. He looked at me then focused his eyes back on his phone. Omg he has two eyes just like me. He didn't even greet me. Wow! Don't even think I'm gonna greet you first. Ew.

"What's your name?" wow, so he has a mouth? Noted.

"Austine Lindsay," well for the next few weeks, nobody's gonna ask my name because it's going to be in every billboard in the city. Hah!

"Nice name," thanks. "Get me a glass of water."

"What?" I think I heard a disrespectful group of words from his mouth.

"Get me a glass of water," he calmly repeated what he said a few seconds ago.

"What?" Omg did he just?

"What's wrong?" he looked at me. "Uh... do you want me to add 'please'? Get me a glass of water, please?"

"Who do you think you are?" I stood up, annoyed.

"I am Harry Styles."

"And so?" Harry Styles who?

"Don't you kno-"

"Uh, good morning?" Mr. Davies walked inside his office.

"Good morning Mr. Davies," I sat on my chair. I tried to smile but I failed. I'm just really annoyed. I am supposed to give Mr. Davies a good impression of me but this Harry Styles fella ruined it. Ugh I hate him.

"Am I interrupting a good conversation here?" Mr. Davies asked as he sat on his swivel chair.

"Yeah good. A very good conversation," Harry said. I just rolled my eyes. Ew so irritating.

"Oh good," Mr. Davies smiled at us. "I'm glad you two are already friends. This meeting will be quick then."

Friends. Ew.

"Austine?" Mr. Davies looked at me.

"Yes?"

"Sign here." Mr. Davies handed me a pen and the contract. That's just how easy it works? Just sign here, sign there and sign everywhere?

"Uh Mr. Davies?"

"Yes Austine?"

"Can you please discuss what is inside this contract first?" I asked him. "You know, just to check that there will be no problems for the whole six years." I smiled at him.

I heard Harry snorted. Ugh, so obnoxious! I just ignored him because I won't let some idiot ruin my day.

"Oh," Mr. Davies smiled at me. "Yes, of course," he laughs quietly.

"So... the contract says you are under the Diamond Management for six years. You are obliged to carry out our orders regarding the success or maintenance of your career. Hmm what else?" Mr. Davies skimmed the contract. "I think I'm already done."

"Thank you so much," he handed the contract back to me and I registered my signature on the intended space for me. Omg I'm officially famous.

I gave the signed contract to Mr. Davies and he beamed at me, "Welcome to the world of fame."

I can't help it! I'm grinning from ear to ear and I can't stop it!

"Harry," Mr. Davies called the rude boy sitting directly across me.

Harry looked at him. Mr. Davies handed him a paper, "It's your turn, Harry. Sign it on the last page."

Harry grabbed the paper and signed it quickly. He signed it really fast as if there's a taxi waiting for him outside the building.

"Well, I think we're done here." Mr. Davies smiled at us. "Oh, wait."

"What is it?" I asked him, confusion evident on my face.

"I think I didn't read it a while ago, Austine," he looked at me. Well, what is it? Why do I feel like it will be bad?

"Yeah. So, what is it?"

"You and Harry will be dating for two months. Since you're new to this industry and you're still not that famous, sticking with Harry is the solution. Well, if you two are always papped together you'll get famous Austine. That's how everything works here."

"What?" I asked, shocked. Is this for real? Omg no. Just no. Please.

"It is not a big deal, isn't it?" he looked at me then at Harry, "I mean you're friends, right?"

"Friends," Harry stood up. "I have to go."

I just rolled my eyes. Very infuriating. He just went outside? He didn't even tried to stop this 'fake dating' idea! Is it just okay to him? This is definitely not okay. We already hate each other. We will be obvious to the public that we're fake dating. And just ew.

"Mr. Davies, why did you do that?" I cried out.

"What did I do?" he innocently asked.

"Why are you forcing us to date?"

"Why Austine?" he grinned at me. "Are you sad because I only forced you to date and not to marry each other?"

"What! No, no." I shook my head in disbelief. "I have to go," I stood up then went straight to the door. The atmosphere here is suffocating me. I need some fresh air to breathe.

"Bye Austine. See you tomorrow!" I heard Mr. Davies say.

"Bye," I mutter as I closed the door.
