Rumors were heard about the beautiful princess of Sparks. They said her beauty was rival to no other, they said she possessed the legendary gift to be a mimic, a copier of powers, and was the only one in the world. Everyone in Sparks had magic, and they said she was the most powerful princess and would be the most powerful queen. But the princess has been tucked away in the palace, kept for safekeeping after the assassination attempt from the rebellion that left the kingdom shaking. The king and queen were kind and just people, everyone loved them, so nobody knew why there was a rebellion in the first place. Life in the kingdom was great. At least, that's what they were told.
After the failed rebellion attack, they backed away and waited, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Because that night, they promised to kill the princess. And for some unknown reason, the royal family believed them.
But Princess Althea had plans of her own. And those did not include being trapped in the palace. Being a mimic had its uses. She liked to escape the palace as a different person, using the gift of shapeshifting. She would no longer be Althea, but Lady Elvira, the mysterious and beautiful trapeze artist.
