"Pao!"
The two five year olds yell at each other as they saw their respective cars stop in front of the school. Their mothers shaking their heads at their children's antics.
"Mama, put me down, I wanna go to Jai." Paolo says as he squirmed from his mother's grip.
"Okay, Okay, young prince. I'll put you down," Paolo smiles at his mother's words. "If you give me a kiss." She finishes.
Paolo immediately latched his lips to his mother's cheek, giving her quite a slobbery, wet kiss.
"Mwaah!" Paolo smiles at his Mother.
"I love you, Paolo."
"I love you, Mama."
Paolo smiles brightly to his mother. He averted his eyes towards the young girl waiting for him at the gates of their school.
"Can you put me down please?"
"Of course, my love. Good bye."
"Bye bye, Mama."
Paolo walks towards Jaimie with a skip in his step. Taking a hold of her hand tightly.
"Hi Jai!"
"Hi Pao!"
"Are you ready for school?" The brown eyed girl asks.
"Yep, Ready as I can be." Paolo puffs out his chest, making the young girl giggle.
"I'm scared." Jaimie says, a pout forming on her lips.
"Just hold my hand, Jai. I'll protect you from anything. I'm here for you." Paolo says smiling down at Jai.
Bzz... Bzz... Bzz...
Jai groaned as her phone rang for the first time this morning. Her eyes shut, not letting the light fill her vision. Slowly adjusting to the brightness of the room. Jai grabbed her phone from the bedside table.
Incoming call from Pao🐼...
"Argh, it's 7 am what does this idiot need?" Jai closes her phone as the ringing stops.
"Finally, more sleep for-"
Bzz... Bzz... Bzz...
"Damn it."
Jai opens her phone to see another call from Pao. She contemplates whether or not to answer the call. Jai ended up ignoring it once again and settling down her bed, getting comfortable. As she waits for sleep to engulf her a familiar ping of her phone filled her ears.
She grabs her phone once again, opening it to see a text from Paolo. She sighs and rolls her eyes at Paolo's persistent ways of waking her up.

A smile crept upon her lips as she re-reads the message. A sigh escaping her lips, letting Paolo win.
