Alexandria pov

It's been a week. A week since I left, a week since I've even had blood. I have been starving myself out of misery. This was killing me but I kept going. I kept running from him. I would not stop running.

Jackson pov

I had been in my wolf form for about a week now, chasing Alex. My paws were sore from constantly running. I just kept following her scent of butterscotch. I leaped across a stream and stopped dead in my tracks. Her scent was extremely strong here, she was close.

Alexandria pov

I had stopped to get a drink because I was starving. I couldn't last any longer without blood. I sniffed the air and smelled a flock of deer near by. I carefully flitted to the stream where they were and when I spotted the male, the head of the flock, I didn't stop to think twice, I pounced on him and drank, his sweet blood filled my mouth. It was amazing.

"Baby."

I shot up, "How did you find me?"

"I have been following your scent and it suddenly got stronger and I found you." His voice broke at the end and I could see his eyes glistening with unshed tears. I wanted to comfort him but held back.

"Why?" Was all I asked, I needed to know why he had come for me when I told him not to. I loved him enough to let go.

"Alex, I don't care what happened with you and Kyle. You are my mate and yes, he is my father, but we can't change fate. We are meant to be together, no matter what. Please just come back with me baby." He got down on his knees and literally begged, tears streaming down his face.

"I can't.... I can't go back there." I whispered as I turned away from him.

"The let me stay with you. I won't force you to go back. I don't care if I'm alpha. My beta can move up to that position and we can run away. We can get married and just live like we want to. Baby please just let me be with you. I don't care where we are as long as I'm with you." He had gotten up and his hands were on my hips, turning me towards him. Our eyes met and I said, "Ok."

Our lips met and there was nothing more blissful. The kiss was full of raw, fiery passion, unlike no other.
