"Honey, I'm home!" Jackson exclaimed as he walked through the door of the small apartment we had been renting for the past few weeks.
I sped into the living room and wrapped my arms around his waist, snuggling my face into his chest. He had started working the moment he had found a job and we were actually doing quite well for people who had ran away from everything they had known. It was really nice though, being together like an old married couple.
If only I knew it would last. I had felt this nagging in my chest ever since we decided to leave the pack. Yes, I had left before then but not officially. I knew I would have gone back to Jackson, I just couldn't leave the love of my life. Anyways, when he found me and we decided to leave, the nagging feeling had started and with each passing day it was getting harder and harder to ignore. It was tightening around my heart like a snake coiling around its prey. I knew something was coming, something that could possibly kill me.

Jackson pov
Something was coming. I had gotten the message yesterday but had told Alexandria that it was nothing. The message had been written in blood and was taped to my lunch sack, it had read 'We are coming. Death is closer then you think dear boy.' Honestly, it had scared the shit out of me. What if somebody at work would have seen that note? What would they think? What would Alexandria think?
We had already mates on the night we had moved into our apartment but that's a memory for Alex and I. It had been a really good night though.
Anyways, back to the bad things going on lately, every night when I was by myself I would hear these bloody murder screams, girls screams. That scared me way more. I didn't know who was screaming.

We were sitting down for dinner that night when Alex hunched over, gasping in pain. Her breath coming in short pants.
"Alex? Alex? What's going on?" I asked frantically as I attempted to pick her up from the floor.
"Their..... Here!" She gasped.
That's the precise moment when the apartment door crashed to the floor. Everything went black and then I realized whose screams I had been hearing for weeks. Alexandria's.

Alexandria pov
I woke up chained to a pole, I was weak from lack of blood so I couldn't break free. Damnit.
"Fuck you!" I told the green eyed man in front of me.
"Feisty bloodsucker aren't you? I like feisty." He said as he started coming closer. Big mistake on his part. He was human.
I stood my ground as he stuck out his hand and stroked my cheek. He came closer and licked my mother fucking neck! Time to strike. Bye jackass! I bit into his neck and he couldn't do anything about it. I had caught him off guard, stunned him. I drained his body and broke free of my chains.
Then I ran for the door, I had to find Jackson. I didn't realize that there was anyone behind me until I fell to the ground. The darkness clouded my vision and I wished I would have been more cautious. I'm sorry Jackson.
