JUNE
Then suddenly June realized what she had done. She had betrayed Day for people who killed her brother. No, no, this wasn't like her. Day was the bad guy, not her people. But then again was he...? These thoughts twisted in her mind all night long as she lay in the spot where her brother used to sit on the couch.
Tess
Tess realized what she had to do. She got down from the roof, where she and Day used to watch his family's house from, and she strapped on a pistol, gun detonators, a stun gun, and last but certainly not least, a giant rule breaking bomb. She walked for what felt like hours to the prison in which Day was being held in for a crime he did not commit. Just the thought of it made her furious. Elector Primo was covering up his own crime by accusing Day of it. Day just happened to be in the same place as June's brother. They framed him. IT'S NOT FAIR!
DAY
Day lay awake chained to his jail cell walls straining to keep his head up and his feet planted on the ground. Then suddenly he heard a loud bang and guards screaming. With all his might he moved his head towards the guards and one by one they all fell. Day thought it must be one guard and another in a argument and someone mis-fired. Suddenly he hears a familiar voice. "Haha take that guards" and then he recognized the voice. "Tess?!" he said as Tess came around the corner, blood on her face. "What are you doing here?!" asked Day. "I have come to rescue you," said Tess.
June
As soon as she woke up, she got a call from the super official of the police unit. All the guards were dead. It took her a moment to comprehend it but then she realized, this is my chance to save Day. She got dressed, fed Ollie, and began her journey to save Day. A few hours later, as soon as she got to the police unit she immediately saw all the caution tapes, the bodies being dragged out of the prison, and she saw something that made her heart leap out of her chest. She saw Day and Tess leaping out of the fifth story window into the nearby lake. She immediately distracted the guards and made her way briskly over to them.

DAY
As soon as they jumped into the water, he realized that his necklace had fallen off. As Tess and June were swimming downstream, he stayed against the current fighting to find his necklace from his family. He looked back as his friends were swimming out of sight and he yelled with all his might. "Tess! June! Wait for me-" his voice was cut off by the winding river as his feet lost grip and he slipped under the water. For a moment in the cold, deep, darkness of the water he saw flashbacks of his family, before the plague hit his little brother, before they had been taken away. Before all the bad stuff happened. He realized that he was drowning. He saw a hand in the water grab his necklace and he thought he was hallucinating. He immerged his head out of the water and was startled to see the face of the guard that killed his brother. "Looking for this?" he heard the guard say.
GUARD
-Before Day broke out-
Gunfire was ringing in my ears. My gun wouldn't work, someone broke in to save Day, I'm sure of it. The guard looked around and saw an exit and he ran out of the door, bullets just barely missing him. He was waiting in the bushes for the right opportunity to defeat this Day criminal once and for all. Moments passed and he heard commotion from the window up above. For a flashing moment he saw Day, and his little sidekick Tess, jump from the fifth story window into the lake. This was his opportunity, he thought. As he slowly crawled out of the bush, he checked his gun and it worked. He followed them slowly along the river. Then suddenly he saw June jump into the river and swim to catch up with them. Of course, she is a traitor. I could see it in her eyes when she was at the prosecution for Day's death. He saw something glimmering in the water. Something that belonged to Day, he was sure of it. He picked up the raggedy necklace and waited for his trap to commence. "Looking for this?" he said as Day sat up against a rock. "I have been waiting for this moment." he said. Day looked him in the eyes and said, "If you're going to kill me then do it" Day said. The guard looked at him and smiled. He handed the necklace to Day and said, "I'm sorry about your brother, take this and get as far away from this place as you can." Day looked at the guard up and down in disbelief as he took the necklace from the guard's hand. "Thank you, sir," Day said.
NARRATOR
With his new strength in his mind and in his legs and arms, Day swam as fast as he could to catch up with his friends. This is where the story ends.
