Quick disclaimer, I've never written a wedding before sooooooo
March 14th. Travel day.
It feels like neither of them have slept any, but they get up with a new feeling in their step. They barely unpacked and it seems like they're packing again, as they have a train to catch to bring them to Doncaster, so that they can get settled and ready for the 16th. Harry already picked out a place, with the agreement of Louis, it's a sweet little chapel in a field right outside of the actual town of Doncaster, and as long as the weather stays true to the predictions, it should be a beautiful day.
"Do we still have to follow the no seeing each other the night before rule?" Louis asks when they get on the train, finding an empty booth for he and Harry. "Yes." Harry simply states, busy on his phone texting somebody. "Are you ok?" Louis questions, seeing Harry's frown appear, his focus on his phone, zoned out to the world. "Hmm? Yeah, I'm ok." He snaps out of it, tucking his phone away and pulling Louis into him. "Just talking with Gemma, apparently she and your sister were ironing their dresses and she somehow burned a hole through hers... I'm really not sure how one does that." Harry says as his phone buzzes. He picks it up off of the table in front of them and unlocks it, a photo message from Gemma.
Louis glances and gasps, the hole in her pale blue dress is blackened and crispy on the edge of the area, seeming as though she set it fire rather than 'burned a hole'. "Did she actually set it on fire... or am I just seeing the singed hole in the side of her dress?" Louis asks, disbelief coating his words. "I don't know but she better get fixed in the next two days." Harry stresses. "Hey, it should be me stressing about this, I'm the one who's a diva, remember? You just dress like one but we all know who the real diva is." Louis states, sitting back in his seat proudly, his words making Harry release a tensed laugh.
"I know, I just want it to be perfect for you Lou... You deserve the actual world." Harry says, turning to face Louis, his green eyes wide and honest. "You are my world, H." Louis says, suppressing a grin at how cheesy that was, but he doesn't care. "Oh my god, you sap. That was so sickeningly sweet." Harry says, hiding his face in his hands as the train finally starts going to the next station. "You're marrying me, you woke up one day and you were like 'you know, I want to marry him. He's just right for me, I want to be stuck with his unbelievably annoying ass for the rest of my life.' And you know, I'm quite thankful for that. You're the only one who will put up with my shit." Louis says, making Harry chuckle into the palms of his hands.
Harry glances at him and wraps his arm around Louis. "Dip you in honey so I could be sticking to you." Harry says, confusing Louis, but he'll find out in due time. They end up falling asleep on the two and half train ride to Doncaster, trying to not look so unbelievably exhausted, they're greeted at the station by Anne, hugging them both and holding them tight. "You two ready? We're all staying at the same hotel, right?" She asks, getting a nod from her son. "Yeah, thanks for getting us, you didn't have to." He says, putting he and Louis' suitcases in the back of her car before sliding into the back seat. "Hey wait, no, I wanted to sit in the back." Louis protests. "You aren't five, you'll survive." Harry says, placing his sunglasses on his face, shutting his eyes and stretching out in the back, continuing to sleep. "He's no fun, I swear." Louis mumbles, Anne laughing at her stubborn child.
"You more nervous or excited?" Harry half hears Anne say quietly to Louis, knowing he was sleeping. "I'm really excited, I would always wonder on nights that he would get us all dressed up and take me out to dinner, I would say to myself 'Tonight is the night, he's going to ask.' And then it didn't happen. At least, not how I had thought he was going to do it, they way Harry proposed to me was so much better than I ever could've imagined. It was thoughtful and touching. I just can't believe we're actually getting married." Louis says, smiling a little. "You deserve it, honey. You're a good person. Harry loves you, very much, everyone can see it. His whole world revolves around you, when you two are over for a movie night or whatever, I'll just watch you two, he looks at you like you hung the moon." Anne says, taking her eyes off the road for a half second to look at Louis.
